Add to that a healthy bit of perfectionism, et voila, we see the tiniest flaws in our work and won't rest until we get rid of them. Or let them be and keep thinking about it ;-)
And indeed, noone else will notice them. We are just sooo close to our own work, literally and as a matter of speaking.
I once looked at the shop-window of a famous designer and was looking for any flaws in the clothes that were displayed. And guess what? I found them. The sort of imperfections that I would never allow my selfmade clothes to have. I think if the designer himself had seen this, he wouldn't be too pleased. But he just wasn't 'close enough'......(am I making any sense here...?)Lilianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09122250183894346582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-30551077346166211842010-11-10T12:56:51.770-05:002010-11-10T12:56:51.770-05:00Yeah, i'd go with those who think it might hav...Yeah, i'd go with those who think it might have been a design element as it is so apparent. Hunh? If I were going to put in an exposed zipper, I'd either put it on the front - either at the center or off-set, or center back and for a dress that fancy, I'd get one of those RIRI rhinestone ones and put a big rhinestone ring as a pull. Putting a zip like that in that particular spot almost guarantees that the person wearing it either has to spend the entire evening with their arm posed like that or they are going to end up with a whole lot of wear and tear on the inside of their arm.
So me, I think it was sort of an afterthought.Toby Wollinhttp://www.kitchencountereconomics.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-77544899797322575022010-11-10T08:26:31.734-05:002010-11-10T08:26:31.734-05:00You know RTW sometimes has an offset too and no on...You know RTW sometimes has an offset too and no one bats an eye, though it annoys me too when I am off on a zip insertion.
