It is not too late to add a cotton half slip between the lining and the leather by attaching to the lining only. It can be cotton batiste or lightweight linen, just something to break the static barrier. How about just trying a cotton half slip to start with?
Otherwise having an anti-static chain hanging down from your hem to the floor like on shopping carts at Costco just would not add too much to the look now would it?joannelyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10470224920008873867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-64206474778916735742011-09-20T15:41:15.950-04:002011-09-20T15:41:15.950-04:00Let me jump on the bandwagon with judidarling. I don't know if someone has glommed on to your posts, but I thought you'd like to know. I don't get this anywhere else. Not that I'd ever let it stop me from my daily Diary of a Sewing Fanatic fix! As to the sticky problem, a short burst of hair spray on your pantyhose should do the trick--the cheaper the hairspray the better. I kept a can in my desk at work, especially in cold weather. I also read somewhere that putting a layer of cotton between the lining and fashion fabric helps to keep the static at bay.toyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03121063165552116888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-60722735102275893422011-09-19T01:14:55.711-04:002011-09-19T01:14:55.711-04:00I use moisturizer on my hands (a small amount) and...I use moisturizer on my hands (a small amount) and run it over the offending part like my legs or tights...

I'm glad I am not the only person who can't stick to her plan!!!!Amber Elaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05942523468304286877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-72561325664275091792011-09-19T00:54:13.214-04:002011-09-19T00:54:13.214-04:00May be a hot mess but it's hot!May be a hot mess but it's hot!golden starhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15040028349486948045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-24192597026607333622011-09-19T00:00:03.041-04:002011-09-19T00:00:03.041-04:00Loving the dress...I always use hairspray but have...Loving the dress...I always use hairspray but have not tried on leather!Monica Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08671309236814160731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-13980843029227474612011-09-18T23:52:14.134-04:002011-09-18T23:52:14.134-04:00I find slathering lots of moisturiser, like sorbol...I find slathering lots of moisturiser, like sorbolene, all over my body before dressing helps keep static at bay.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11834160669469958728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-51630399871249905652011-09-18T23:45:01.567-04:002011-09-18T23:45:01.567-04:00I'd use a fabric softener sheet and rub it on ...I'd use a fabric softener sheet and rub it on the lining, panty hose, legs, whatever is sticking.
