I blame it on the spring weather! Who wants to be tied down to a plan when it's so glorious outside. I do have a plan in the works, but I'm not sticking to it exclusively. I've allowed myself the freedom work on things that are not a part of my plan--just because. And that's the beauty of sewing for yourself: you can move as your creativity prompts you.

Sometimes, not only do I have a plan, I predetermine which pieces get sewn first. I think I'll be breaking out of that soon as well!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10608592479497561349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-73281130108252055402008-04-19T04:55:00.000-04:002008-04-19T04:55:00.000-04:00I'm quite sure you'll do just fine without a plan ...I'm quite sure you'll do just fine without a plan and your inspiration will lead you into making great garments! This was *my way* form many years and only recently (influenced by the blogging community, no doubt of that) I have been *making plans* for an entire season! My plans are not written in stone, and I know they will change along the way because there's yet so much to see in the sea of inspiration!!Tanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01073735708031525696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-30155124608348081342008-04-18T22:39:00.000-04:002008-04-18T22:39:00.000-04:00Whew! I'm with you all the way Carolyn. It's uncanny how we are all so much alike in our sewing philosophies. I think that's why (I'm reaching for an excuse here, see) I have never finished one of the SWAPs. I go wherever the sewing winds take me. A dress for this occasion, a jacket for another, a skirt for the weekend...etc. So I'll be watching your free spirted adventure this spring and summer.
MargueriteAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-12441190275588618652008-04-18T19:30:00.000-04:002008-04-18T19:30:00.000-04:00Sewing with a plan is definitely stressful. Change is inevitable when I am sewing; the newest fabrics and patterns beckon and the plans change.
But, I accomplish a lot more with a sewing plan than without, so I am going to continue my making lists and making storyboards and if my plans change, so be it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20705637.post-67786887342684668932008-04-18T17:20:00.000-04:002008-04-18T17:20:00.000-04:00Yours is my kind of plan.
