They gap, they fly open, they shift around. By the time I've half sewn them down and put in little 'secret' snaps, I may have just as well have sewed a gored skirt and saved myself the extra fabric and time. Will await the shorter version wearability report. :) Really do like that fabric though, and the whole outfit is a total win. Perhaps that extended overlap you put in would help prevent that kind of hazard. The heavy denim probably helps too.
