Dead Tired

I only have about five steps left to do on the jacket and the pantsuit will be completed. It's hanging up and looking pretty good to me. I'm inspired to finish it this weekend...and I had a post about the lining...pattern pieces I made up and the changes I made to make it more my own...but I'm just too tired to download pictures and write it all up...so maybe tomorrow.

I also love the beginning of the month because the fabric clock turns over and I can purchase my 8.33 yards of fabric...though to be truthful I got a little more than that! *LOL* However, several pieces are in the washer right now...going through the prewash process so that they will be ready to go when called upon.

It has been a long week at work...next week will be worse...and right now I'm tired...dead tired...so I'm gonna curl up in bed (cause the apt is empty - yeah!!) and read my new Threads!

Finally ~ a sneak peek because I realize that I haven't shown anything but a detail here and there...don't get excited or disappointed...it will look better than this...the best details are yet to come!

More later...

  1. This suit will look very chic. You said the fabric is green/beige stripe. What color top and accessories will you wear with it?

  2. I know the feeling. Long week this week, my Threads came today too! I'm crawling into bed with a glass of wine and Bill Maher on the tube, doubt I'll last through either one of them. Your suit is looking good so far...Can't wait to see the rest, but take your time. Rest up, chill out, we'll be here... K

  3. The suit looks good - I'm willing to bet it will be even better when it is on you. I wish I could shake the too tired and achy back syndrome that is around here this week. I watched a sewing dvd on the heating pad this afternoon trying to at least accomplish something. Enjoy your rest and the new threads. mssewcrazy

  8. Me too! I love to use piping. It gives such a finished look to things. I know the dead tired feeling. I have it more and more the older I get!!

  10. I like what I see of the suit, already! All of your details are TDF and special. I must admit my day/week was an easy one; Dh is in DC so no responsibilities. But I still curled up in my chair to read my Threads last night. I always enjoy my sewing mags. Will enjoy waiting on the final take of your ensemble; they are always a treat!
