I saw it!

Don't worry I'm not going to give the plot to Star Trek away! I'm just going to say that I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the movie! It had a wonderful plot - there wasn't action just for action's sake. It was there because the story required it and it was in the right amount, integral to the scene. The casting was sooooo right on, that you didn't sit in the movie theatre going, "what were they thinking?" It was just a whole lot of fun and you got so caught up in it, that you didn't realize how much time had passed!

I can't say anything about the costumes. They wore the same uniforms as they did in the original TV series. However, I can tell you that if you weren't a fan of the original series or if you never saw it, don't worry, you will still enjoy this movie immensely!

My friend and I saw it in a half-filled movie theatre but that was probably because 9 of the 18 screens at the movie theatre were showing it 15-30 minutes apart. More than convenient. It was really fun and I would see it again! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly encourage you to go and check it out

I am sewing today...so there will be more about that later!

  1. I'm so glad you loved it, I thought it was great! The only casting that I thought wasn't quite dead-on was Sulu. And that's only because John Cho will always be Harold to me!

  4. Did you notice that the fabric was a Jacquard fabric with the emblem? I'm glad you saw it and enjoyed it. It is every bit as good the second time around.

Lots of action... I loved it when Spock said.... get outta the chair! I don't think that's giving away anything! Just lots of fun and we got to see it with one of our DD's and our SIL...

  8. We saw it last too and I LOVED it! I want to see it again at the IMAX (which was sold out last night, of course). I rarely go to the theatre (preferring instead to buy the DVD) but some movies demand to be seen on the big screen!

  12. You already know I've seen it and loved it. Action yes but if you did watch the tv show (you're right you don't need to see tv show to enjoy the movie) there was so much humor between how they were when older (tv show) to when the friendships first started (movie) like how Bones got his name. I loved so much about it. This one I can't wait to own.
