So...

So the way I've been moaning (okay whining really! *smile*) I think spring is finally on its way.

So I've got dress fever.

So the good thing is that I do need to make three dresses to finish off my SWAP.

So I'm looking for ideas to make it work and

So I found this link to Dillards...I'm in pig heaven.

So now I have to figure out which three dresses to make...(and none of the dresses pictured are in the running.  I just thought they were very pretty!)

...and lastly...so I'm finally happy...spring is coming...I will be able to make some new dresses...

So there!  *LOL*

  1. Thanks for the link. Last weekend, I went to Michael's and some of his summer prints followed me home. Now I have some ideas of what to use them for.

  4. Right - put more dresses up here for me to want to make! They're all pretty and make great use of the fabric. It will be interesting to see what dresses will inspire your SWAP dresses.

  6. Ooooh, fabulous . . . I'd have never thought of putting the border print at the top of a garment! I may have to try that!

  7. I understand your previous posts where you were crabby and ticked off. I think the last days of winter do that to people.

If it makes you feel any better, you could be living somewhere like Saint Louis where there are NO awesome fabric stores for inspiration? Just trying to help.

  9. I agree with Carol-I like the darker edge of the border up top, it's a little different and more flattering to us ladies who are all boobs and belly and can use the balancing effect of the brighter lighter color on the lower half.

  10. Glad your finally feeling the "warmth" of spring. You have really inspired me to make a dress or two for myself also and I hope to get started soon. I know whatever you pick will work great for you.

  12. That first dress is so beautiful. Have you any fabric links that replicate that effect? I've been browsing your blog for some time and want to thank you for giving me the courage to start sewing for myself.

  14. Your inspiration dresses are great. I love, love, love border prints, but never thought to flip it and use it with the border at the top. What a great idea!
