Today wasn't a day that I was sitting behind my desk or at a conference room table. Today was an active day, moving things around, arranging a conference room for a meeting, etc. So I wore a comfortable outfit that is kinda business casual so that I wouldn't look too out of place for any visitors we might have on the floor, yet allowed me to be comfortable as I moved through my day...

I'm wearing one of the many pairs of black wool crepe pants that I've made from my TNT pants pattern. A Burda 8869 cardigan made from a beautiful rayon/lycra knit purchased from Elliot Berman that has no buttons or buttonholes on it. Boy was I lazy that day! But it worked just fine with the top and pants today. Finally the white shirt (Simplicity 2566) from my Lavender and Gray Wardrobe. I've worn this top several times and love it! I'm so happy that I have plenty of shirting cottons (purchased from Fabric Mart last year) to make a couple more.
So instead of sewing, I'm re-working the pieces in my wardrobe and wearing them in new ways! BTW, Elizabeth this post is for you! *LOL* And Alicia, please leave your email in the comments so I can send you a message about how I insert the elastic in my pants...since you had some specific questions.

ReplyDeleteThis outfit looks great on you! A long(er) cardigan over pants and a top makes for a great silhouette--a nice, long line. It's nice, too, that although this may be more casual than your normal outfit, you look completely professional and put together! Don't you LOVE having so many choices in your closet? I think that really takes away the stress (of the I-have-nothing-to-wear syndrome)of getting ready in the morning. As always, you're inspiring me!
