A Sneak Peek

So last night I came home to watch the Thunder vs. Heat NBA finals.  I decided to be gracious and watch hoping that the Thunder would pound Miami into the ground since they eliminated my favs...the Boston Celtics!  And as I sat in my sewing room, not only did I cheer (quite loudly I might add!) for the Thunder to roll over Miami, I also decided to start working on the next Peyton dress.

Now I say next because my first version of the Peyton dress is done.  Sewn, pressed, hanging and waiting to be worn...now the second one is halfway done...here's a sneak peek...

There's another Thunder/Miami game tomorrow night.  I'll be in my sewing room praying for the Thunder to Roll and hopefully working on finishing up the second Peyton...it calms me to sew when the basketball action gets hot!  *LOL*

...as always, more later!

  1. Awesome! The pink one looks like it came right out of the advertisement, but I have to say I really love your floral one - can't wait to see how they look on you!

Oh, and my family was rooting for the Thunder the other night too... I was too busy sewing to watch much, but I will say that I did celebrate a little bit over the King's winning the Stanley Cup the other night!

  3. Very pretty, Carolyn! I love that floral one (hmmm--I know where you got the fabric--might just have to pay them another visit!). Can't wait to see these on you!

  4. So I was totally thinking of you as we watched the game. I'm sure it won't surprise you to know JB is praying for the Thunder to Roll as well.

I should sew while he watches - maybe tomorrow. By the way the dresses look good on the hanger, but I bet they look amazing on you! g

  5. The dresses look fabulous! I have a hard time watching anything when I sew, let alone something intense!!! But I bet it's a good energizer :)

  6. I love the floral version; you are so quick and efficient with your sewing. Looking forward to seeing the spot version, being rather partial to the spotty look myself!

  7. I've always been a fan of yours, but my respect went up several notches with this post. As a resident of the OKC area I feel I must say, "Thunder UP!"

Oh, yeah, was there something about sewing...?

  8. I guess if you know the pattern from long use you can watch a rousing game at the same time as sewing it. You'll be done the rest in no time.

  9. I wish I could watch tv while sewing, but too many sewing fiascos have occurred and just settle for listening to the radio. The dresses will be perfect for pairing with cardigans or jackets and perfect alone when the heat comes roaring in.

  11. Really nice dresses Carolyn, can't wait to see them on! I'm definitely like Ms. Sheila, I can NOT sew & watch TV..i run the risk of creating a wadder each and every time!

  12. We agree on many things, but Carolyn, I want LaBron to win so badly! After all he's put himself through, I just want him to win already. The thing that will infuriate me though, is if he is not gracious about the win. I hope I get to see what he will do and say with a championship under his belt.

    Love the dresses!

  13. Another thing we have in common - I'm a big Celtic fan and am now routing for the Thunder. I'm very impressed with Kevin Durant, and it's good to see Kendrick Perkins int he finals. I was also sewing during the game last night. You're dresses look great. I wonder how much you'll complete during the finals?
