The June Six

My sewing mojo was on fire in June.  I finished six garments this month and completed the Ten Yard Adventure Wardrobe just in time to be worn before it started to get really hot around here.  To recap, the June Six were...
  • Ivory Polyester Crepe Elastic Waist Straight Skirt
  • Ivory Polyester Crepe Lined Wide Legged Pants
  • Ivory Polyester Crepe Burda 8869 Cardigan
  • Peyton Dress 1 - Purple Linen Floral Print
  • Peyton Dress 2 - Silk Tweed
  • Peyton Dress 3 - Black/White Polka Dot Cotton Pique

It was a great month!  I haven't quite decided if this next month will be totally devoted to making work clothing or if I will switch over towards the end of the month to make some maxi dresses for the vacay in August.  Right now I'm in work mode and the thought of ending this run of creativity is a little "frightening" to me, so we shall see.  Especially since I want to use the very popular McCalls 6559...

...and the new McCalls 6612...

...with these knit fabrics...

...for a couple new maxis.  I'm hoping that a couple of weekends will get me the additional maxi dresses I need for the vacay...because I have a few more ideas for work garments that I'd like to get made before July ends.

Lastly, I hope all my sewing sisters in Maryland, Virginia, W. Virginia and the D.C. area are doing okay since the power is out in quite a few places and the temperatures are boiling...

...as always, more later!

And what a coincidence! I just cutout a top in navy stripes using McCall's 6559 View F minus the star.

  13. I want to make a few of those maxis too! You are really on a roll, so many new garments!

I was lucky with the storm, my power went out but quickly came back on after flickering through the storm. And besides lots of smallish branches through the lawn, no major tree damage.
