Back to Sewing...

I have a few new things that have me excited about sewing this weekend!

One - I got my copy of the October Burda and I'm inspired...

Two - my "free" Vogue pattern showed up and I really want to make this jacket now! BTW, Vogue patterns are on sale for $6.99 today and tomorrow!

Three - I broke down and bought 1.5 yards of fabric...but it is the most awesome piece ever:

It's a 100% wool jacquard from Sawyer Brook Fabrics.

And finally Melody at Fashionista Fabrics is having a sale...my resolve is wavering!!! Go by and check her out...

More later...

  1. I was tempted by that one too. But, I am saving my fabric money for Saturday.

  2. Carolyn! How do you have October's BWOF when you posted on SG that it wasn't going be at the newsstand until Friday?? ;-) I actually went down to the Universal at Broadway and Broome yesterday but they didn't have it in yet- now I might need to check again tomorrow. I can't wait for this issue, it looks really good!

  3. I am tempted by that fabric too, but my stash is in overload and sewing is at a slow crawl. I can't wait to see what you do.

  4. Hmmm . . I think I've seen that jacket shape somewhere before! It is very similar to my corduroy houndstooth jacket, but longer. Excellent choice! The fabric is gorgeous, I can see why you couldn't resist.

  7. Hmmm, my fabric money is already accounted for, but I could maybe donate some of the utility money toward that fabric - if I get cold I can just wrap myself in my stash to stay warm. That is gorgeous stuff and I can't wait for you to do something with it.
