There are quite a few special details to the dress ~ the lining that I made to look like a slip with a lace hem and the binding that I made from the brocade fabric for the neckline of the dress. However, I will give a full review of the dress later this week...tonight pics only!

The other item I started and finished today was the argyle cardigan from my Fall Top 10 List. I am wearing it with the Burda black knit dress that I made last year...again details to follow later this week:
The hem line on the jacket does match...I have it pinned together because I need to pick up fur hooks and eyes to close it...guess this means a trip to Pacific Trimmings this week!
I've decided to count the dress and jacket towards November totals since there was a lot of work done on it this weekend and not just finishing details. And of course, instead of following my plan, I started work on my version of the Dior Dress! More about that later!!!

ReplyDeleteI love all the new garments, but I have always had a special place in my heart for argyle. Since it's been back in fashion, I have been buying every argyle item I can get my hands on before the trend is over.
The brocade fabric is absolutely TDF - I love how that whole outfit looks on you. You're going to knock 'em dead at work!
