The dress, the pants & the skirt are all from the
gray tropical wool using my TNT patterns.
I know hanger shots stink
but they're all I've got now!
The jacket is finished and made from the wool jersey
and sweater knit. I'm still not in love with it...*sigh*
I've cut the pieces for the cardigan out so its up next. Thank goodness because I so need to work with some color because the gray is seriously getting to me. So glad I've sewn the last piece in it...Yes!!!...It's starting to look like a collection...

You have really inspired me to sew clothing again. I made a suede cloth skirt this morning and cut out another skirt to sew tomorrow. I check my blog list everyday so I can keep up with what you're doing and keep my juices flowing. When you have time check out my site. I make quilts.

That sure is looking like a collection! But, you know, in some of your pictures the "grey" looks beige to me.

ReplyDeleteI really like your lavender jacket/cardigan. I agree with Jean that a scarf with gray and lavender tones might pull the collection all together. Personally I love scarves and pull out my 40 year collection as soon as the weather permits!

ReplyDeleteIt's a great collection; but I understand getting tired of sewing the same fabric. What are you missing a tripod or a camera timer? I just love seeing you strut your new stuff.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a piece of fabric in your stash for a shell that will pull the two colors of the jacket together? The jacket will be fine once you put your styling touches to it.

ReplyDeleteIt is starting to look like a collection! You are moving right along. I love the color of your gray fabric. More light gray than the typical dark gray color seen in winter wardrobes... and I still like the jacket a lot!

ReplyDeleteI think you're too close to the jacket to love it yet. Put it in the closet and come back to it later. I bet you like it a whole lot better. Wait till you see it styled up as only you can do. I love it!
