A Quick Note on a Monday Evening

These are just quick notes to answer a few questions...

First - if you have any questions regarding my TNT patterns, please check out the tabs at the top of my blog under the header.  In the tab, Popular Posts, you will find a post called 12 on a Desert Island that talks about my TNT patterns.  Along with that, may I also add that I've been working with my TNT patterns for over a decade so they are no longer current patterns.  When I use a new pattern, I state the pattern number and link to the pattern. I'm trying to be more consistent with offering current pattern choices when I use my TNT patterns to make a garment so if you want to copy it, options are available.

Second - My daughter, precious child that she is, reviewed my picture taking skills and made a few suggestions that I will take into consideration for the next time. I do realize now after over analyzing the pictures, that I need to raise the tripod. It's kinda low and higher would be better. I also realize that these aren't the best shots but I'm just so thrilled that I actually got workable pictures out of that camera!

Third - I am trying very hard to reply to questions in the comments section. So if you ask a question, check back later, I've probably answered it.  BTW, I've written about a lot of things sewing in the last eight years.  If you're a new reader, please check the blog index to see if there is a link there or you can use the search box at the top of the blog to find posts.

Fourth - the fabric arrived from Elliott Berman and I'm in love!  Now I've got to figure out when I can get a dress from this luscious fabric made.  BTW, Nancy you could use this fabric for a dress for Ojai, CA.  It's not heavy at all, more like a light to midweight fabric with a firm hand. The lace is printed on.  I didn't realize that but it doesn't bother me...just trying to give you as much info as possible.

Love the presentation - this is how it arrived!

It is a border print - showing both edges

One more shot of the fabric!

Finally, the Simplicity 3833 post will be up tomorrow on the Rosie Wednesday blog. I basically listed the alterations that I would make and hope that they will be helpful to someone else...so please be kind in the comments!

...as always more later!

  11. The fabric is beautiful!!! Can't wait to see what you create with it. Also, I did not comment before , but I thought the pictures in your office were great. Maybe it was the lighting, but I could see more details of the garments.

  12. Oh that's pretty! I mad a couple skirts last year from a similar print fabric. I prefer it to actual lace not only because it was easier to work with but also it doesn't snag and therefore hold up better to wearing.
