You can find ANYTHING on the internet...

I'm not sure whether I should be amused by the comment below or just chalk it up to the fact that no matter what you write on the internet, it will come back to the person you're writing about...

"I'm familiar with that blog. I don't particularly like the author's taste, and, although I hate to sound cruel, she is so overweight that I simply cannot get inspired by anything she sews. She also has opinions about the design and manufacture of clothes that in my experience are not well-founded.

I also cannot stand blogs that are poorly written. For example, in the current post on that blog, the word should have been to "jibe," not "jive." How difficult is it to remember that the word"it" followed by an s takes an apostrophe when used as a contraction and not when used in the possessive form?

She's also not a "girl." She's at least 48. Females over 18, certainly over 21, are women. At least in public life."

This is a post from a January 2012 entry on the board, The Cutter and Tailor, and was written by Tailleuse who is a pro senior member of the board and is from NYC.

Okay I'm gonna laugh...'cause everyone can't like you!  But I would like to clear up a few points...

1.  I'm 54 not 48 but thanks for thinking I'm younger than I am.

2.  Tailleuse you did sound cruel with your "so overweight" comment...and people wonder why so few "overweight" stitchers model their garments on the internet.  You have to have a thick skin to function out here!

3.  Thanks for letting me know that I am a woman - would have missed that one!

4.  Whenever someone links to my blog, sooner or later when checking the blog stats I will come upon what was linked.  Most times I read and move on but this was derogatory and I really just wanted people to know that I saw and read that "opinion" of me.

These stats are for the last four hours...

Finally I'm sure that you are not the only one that shares that opinion of me but I guarantee you that I won't stop posting garments that I make.  Plus size women are so under represented in the sewing blog world that someone should be willing to put themselves out there so that we're not overlooked. Now I'm not saying that I'm the representative for all plus size sewists, but in this corner of the world, yes I am it!

Okay, I've gone from laughing about it to being annoyed...time to pack up my keyboard and say goodnight!

...as always more later!

  2. Yuk. Well all I have to say is that I love your blog, i find your garments, your professionalism and creativity (and your rate of output) all inspirational, and it's the first I turn to.
I could say all sorts of things about that comment you quote, but I think it is better not to start. Let's hope it is a regretted comment.
Yes, the internet is a much more public and yet much less anonymous and more permanent space than we are used to in the rest of life. It's both good and prudent to apply the normal rules of courtesy that one would in real life.
Carolyn, I love your work and the constant inspiration you provide. Thank you for taking the trouble to blog about it.

  3. Carolyn don't listen to haters. Fortunately, you did not have to pay for that opinion which is good because it is worth nothing.

  4. Excuse me, but that person is a jerk!

  5. Ps I would have given you 45! I'm sure you look younger than me...

  6. Glad you blog and post pictures of you wearing your creations. Look forward to future posts.

  7. As my mom would say... Some people.

One of the things I have always appreciated about your writing is that you don't bash. Bashing is a sign of a whole bunch of things, none of which I want to spend time with.

AND even though I am a pretty competent writer, I ended that last sentence with a preposition and I don't care!!!!

  8. Carolyn, your blog is the BEST!! I love your work, and simply put you are awesome!!!

  9. I so appreciate all that you share on your blog. I only recently started sewing again, and I have been knitting garments for a few years- the psychology of posting photos as a plus sized person is a huge deal, and I am working on it. I think it is really important though. Photos of outfits on the bed are just not that useful.

On a forum talking about a sweater I was test knitting recently, someone basically said that posting modelled photos on plus size women was "disgusting" and was doing a disservice to the designer. that set me back quite a bit on my photo bravery, but I plan a photo session as soon as I get the buttons on it.

  10. It has been a week of discouraging words -- not on the internet, but in real life -- for me. I am always amazed at how powerful negative words can be. However, encouraging words can be just as far-reaching. And you have many, many people who love your blog, including me:) DLTBGYD!

  11. Oh, I am so sorry. There always have to be those people, right?! We all have them, each for our own reasons (or their own reasons, I should say!), so don't feel alone. But, remember what they say in Hollywood: measure the press in inches not content. That comment there is a whole lot of free press for your blog! My hope is that everyone who clicks through realizes immediately how unfounded the writer's critiques were and actually ends up sticking around!

  12. Carolyn, ignore the haters. I'm not plus size but I love your blog and your sewing. I love that you are fearless, your use of TNT patterns and the myriad ways you alter them. Your TNT term has become a part of the sewing lexicon. Keep up the good work!

  13. I enjoy your curvy sewing posts - and girl or woman I find them inspiring as there's not enough of these type of sewing blogs out there.

  14. I guess her mother never her taught her that if she doesn't have anything nice to say SHUT UP.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh my goodness. People can be so awful. I can't imagine how insecure she herself must be to post such things.

I love your blog, your attitude and your outfits. You are talented and beautiful. Thanks for sharing with so many people in the blogosphere!

  16. All I can say is that this Tailleuse person must be incredibly unhappy with him/herself. Some people think that the world works like junior high school and apparently do not see how infantile those kind of comments make them look to everyone else. Annoying, yep, but I suppose if we are compassionate (if), then we should feel sorry for the miserable and pathetic Tailleuse.

Carolyn, I love your enthusiasm - keep it up!

  17. I am a lurker who loves your blog!

  18. Carolyn, You have one of the best smiles out of all of the sewing bloggers and you seem like a genuinely happy person. Don't let the negativity get you down. If it helps, just think "I'm rubber and you're glue...etc"
    :)

  19. Carolyn, I am so thankful that you post your creations! You stand many of us who are not as fearless as you are...Keep your head high and know that your creative work inspires me to create no matter my shape.

  20. Funny, I have read several nasty things on blogs and in blog comments lately. Apparently a lot of people have not learned how to comment or criticize with out being nasty. They have never mastered empathy -- the ability to put yourself in another person's position and understand how they might feel.

I am sorry you were their selected target. I know it is hard to not take it personally, but such bad behavior says far more about them than you.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That kind of comment always makes me wonder what the writer is like in person: Are they that ignorant and unpleasant, the type that talks behind others' backs? What a miserable way to live! On the other hand, the generosity and good humor you display is a pure pleasure--to say nothing of your sewing skill, creativity and determination.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Mmm - at times I also get a bit obsessive about possessive apostrophes. I can't help it - but it is more my problem than anyone else's. Elegance of style and perfection in grammar have a place in the world. But with blogs, as with any writing, the important question is "has the author conveyed the messsage?". A blog that conveys the author's passion for sewing has hit the mark. Any errant apostrophes are a problem for pedantic readers, who are most definitely in the minority. Mostly us pendants just need to take a few deep breaths, and get on with it!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I've followed your blog for years, its one of the first I found. Your adaptations of TNT patterns is inspiring and opened my eyes to all the possibilities when I started back sewing. Thanks for the time and effort you put into sharing your projects and techniques.

  24. I've been on this earth and on the internet a long time and I shouldn't be shocked, but ... Oh. My. God.

I love you and your blog ... just the way you are! You go GIRL! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  25. You are one of my favorite blogs!!!! I love you sewing, I love how you are always inspired by high fashion and see patterns creatively, as a mean to implement your fashion desires, and I love how elegant and well fitted your garments always are. I love your writing style too. Just so you know.

    ReplyDelete
  26. An over weight American? Who sews to fit her own figure? And sense of style? That is most of us! I do not work in a corporate environment. I do envy the sewing cave, but not the NY winter. I am grateful to the projects and thoughts you share. People come in many shapes, sizes, colors, personalities. People do many different activities that offer many choices in clothing. My Dad used to tell us "Clothes make you street legal." Thank you for sharing your sewing and yourself with us.

  27. A bunch of nothingness from some unhappy sole that measures beauty by outward appearances! I absolutely love your blog and lurk quite often getting inspirations from each and every post. Keep sharing and inspiring the rest of us!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wow, just wow. I'm sorry. Daily I am inspired by you. I'm working on wearing garments that are more flattering to my figure - thanks to you. ::hugs:: g

  29. How nasty! Evidently she never learned that unsolicited critical/negative remarks are rude ;-) I like your sense of style, and I am inspired by the beautiful garments you make. There is something wrong with a person (and a society) that thinks a woman has no right to exist if she isn't "perfect" by their definition. You are lovely and talented.

    ReplyDelete
  30. How fecking roooooode! Clearly her general views include the shooting of all blonde and blue eyed people! What a narrow minded and quite frankly idiotic person is she! I love what you sew and aspire to be able to tackle the projects you do with such ease!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love the fact that you are NOT a skinny 20 year old. You are a real woman, posting about making clothes to fit you. I often tell people about your amazing blog, and how inspiring I find it. Your interpretations of on-trend fashions are more beautiful than the trendy originals. You make beautiful clothes working with your shape and not against it.

Luckily not all of us think the way of that one time reader. I came for the clothes, and have stayed for the witty banter....!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Tailleuse is rude. Simply rude. If she has to preface a statement with "I hate to sound cruel," she should not finish the statement.

Carolyn, you are a role model for us all.

  33. Wow. I mean, just... wow. And not in a good way. It seems like today is my day to hear about terrible things happening to people based on their body shape. A family member just me and told me she was walking with friends on the sidewalk and some random car slowed down, shouted "No fat chicks!" and threw hard candy at the girls. Seeing as how most of the girls are fairly thin and rather attractive it was pretty clear the insult was aimed directly at my family member. Internet bullying is terrible enough, but not unexpected. I mean, it shouldn't have to be expected, but in today's world it just sort of is. But actually throwing things at someone because you find them unattractive? I can't even imagine what would drive a person to do such a thing.

Anyway, I hope you don't feel too bad - you have a great talent for sewing, a fun blog, and a lovely eye for what suits your body and your style. Ignore the nay-sayers. They don't know what they are talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love your blog Carolyn -- and also I love the fact that you perfectly fit your clothing. And, no -- you are not writing a manifesto -- nor are you a full time blogger (I think) -- even if you were -- I'm a self-professed literati and I do no find fault with your blog or grammar! I love it and keep it up baby!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Some people are just rude. And as you know, SO many of us completely disagree with the rude person. Personally, your blog is one of my absolute favourites - because you know your sense of style, sew to fit yourself superbly, and rock the garments that you make! Take heart, as you are inspirational to many.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Dear Carolyn, you inspire me so much. I love reading your blog. I'm plus size too and I know you just get nasty comments - sometimes even from other overweight women, the negativity is unbelievable.

And I never noticed any grammar mistakes, I always felt your blog posts were very well written.

I don't even want to say something about that negative trash, but when I read "she must be over 48", I said out loud "wow! slapping her for being over-weight isn't enough, now you're slapping her with being older than she looks too!
That's right! I thought you were 45/46 years old. So whatever you do, you are doing it right. :)
Probably has something to do with what "they" say ;) after 40 you get the face you deserve. You clearly are such a positive person with great attitude, you look wonderful and your personality shines through in the most wonderful light.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Carolyn - Your writing, your fearless and enthusiatic style in creating and interpreting fashion in looks that suit both your body and your life, your encouragement to other folks who sew, your use of TNT patterns to take style details and make them your own, and your ongoing photos of how the garments look on YOU are all part of why you are one of my heros! I hope you come back online to find myriads of supportive messages about how much we value your contributions. I am saddened to hear that someone was so incredibly discourteous to you, and can only say that the best thing to do is to simply ignore such total and complete rubbish!! You are awesome and I look forward to continuing to hear from and see you here on the internet

I love reading your blog, in fact it is one of my favourites. I find what you make, how you go about it and your style (both fashion wise and personality) all very inspiring. And your smile warms the cockles each time.
For what it's worth, I think you are great and beautiful. Rachel :-)

  42. I love you and you blog and your figure and your makes and your dedication and perseverance and your generosity and I am very sorry this person does not see this coming through all your years of blogging. It's her miss.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Woah! What a vitriolic person she is! One of the (many) reasons that I love your blog is that you always have a good word to say about others.

Your blog is a positive, cheery site full of fabulousness (pick on that one 'Ms. T') and I particularly like your encouragement of others - such a contrast to her unkind comments.

I rather sniggered when I saw that her signature at the bottom of her postings is 'Dignity. Always, dignity.'

Onwards and upwards gurl - we love you :)

Bless you for representing the plus-size woman! Your generosity of spirit is also plus-sized, demonstrated by your sharing of your talent, techniques and tips. We can all learn something from you no matter our size, age, or personal style. (Unless one's mind is already closed--too bad for her.)

  47. I read you blog often, although I rarely comment. This prompted me to take the extra time. The reason I initially started following your blog was because you are a + size sewer who writes about the thing she sews. I love what you do. I love the way you write. I love that you are larger sized and you are right; there aren't enough such women writing and sewing. You are inspiring. Keep doing exactly what you do. I know it is easy to say and hard to do - try to ignore that awful person... oh and you had me fooled on your age, you are great ;)
I sew and am larger than you. I blog (sometimes) and include my sewing exploits and clothing challenges.

  48. In the immortal words of Fernando, "Dahling, you look fabulous." Keep sewing and keep modeling what you make. You inspire a lot of people.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I couldn't agree with you more. Pls ignore her and her pettiness. Continue sharing what you make. I love it and appreciate seeing someone who is not a size 2 share their sewing accomplishments.

  50. Wow, how nasty is that...and just for the sake of being nasty. Goodness, so you're not perfect. None of my friends are. Is she? Hardly. Just mean and nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  51. You are just the blogger I need right now. I'm in my 50s. I'm overweight. And I'm on a mission to make dresses! I can't get motivated by 20 year olds, so I guess Tailleuse has a point there. As always, diversity is a good thing. Even in the blogosphere.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I love your blog and I have linked it to mine. It is part of my reading on the train on the way in to work each morning. I can't believe someone could write that in a public forum. Glad it isn't gonna put you off blogging.

  53. Those mean spirited people are everywhere. I have to wonder how sad their lives must be.

    ReplyDelete
  54. "...so overweight that I simply cannot get inspired by anything..."

I just wanted to say: I am very inspired and encouraged from you and your blog, nearly every day I'm happy to see your newest post in my feedly. And I am definitely not inspired by those thin "coat hangers" (that's our German term ;-) without any female curves...

    Keep modeling and best wishes!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I can't believe that some adults act no better than teenagers sometimes! We're all different body types with different sense of fashion because we are normal people - we just happen to blog too. I'm glad you haven't taken offence at those ridiculous comments

  58. I just want to say thank you very much for your blog. I love your style and appreciate everything that you post. Its funny -- I never think of you as any size. I just see you as a woman who sews and shares the clothes she sews with me. I know words hurt, but remember we are too old and life is too short. Continue doing what you are doing - you enjoy it and that is all that counts.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Obviously tailleuse has not read the guidelines for The Cutter and Tailor. She is not a professional (woman) and is a poor representative for the sewing community. You have many followers who enjoy your fashion and tailoring skills. And we will continue to be inspired by your willingness to share your sewing journeys with us.

    ReplyDelete
  60. You go, girl!! :) Style and class are not defined by size or age.

  61. For sure, what you've dealt with is an example of knocking someone down only to be elevated for just a moment til another victim can be found.
Good for you Carolyn, for standing up so to speak and making a good clarification that you're going to keep on keeping on!!
You've given so many people inspiration in your creativity....myself included...that it would be ashame to stop now because of someone's ugly comments.
Good for you Girly-Girl!! You're my Blogging Hero!!!
Can't wait to read and see your next photo shoot of your next piece!!

  64. Just wanted to say I think you're awesome and beautiful no matter what!! You are an inspiration. Keep doin yo thang girl (woman). lol.

    ReplyDelete
  65. This makes me cross, on your behalf.

I *love* your blog. I admit that I have stopped reading other blogs which are not well written, but your blog does not fall into that category for me - you write in a way that makes me feel welcome as a reader.

Also, the way you talk about your body makes me feel good about being in the body that I am in, which is far from "the ideal". You make me want to sew clothes that fit me properly, and make me feel good. I'm not plus size, but body consciousness isn't something that is reserved for a particular size. You make clothes that flatter you - and that gives me confidence that I can do the same.

You make some awesome garments. Your creativity and your ability to interpret from designers is really inspiring.

Personally, I'd rather read you and be inspired than read negative commentary elsewhere on the interwebs.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I enjoy your blog immensely and keep doing what you do. As the new saying goes, she is trying to be relevant in you're fabulous world, but going about all wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I love that you post pictures of yourself and I so appreciate you showing your process. I'm sorry that you have to hear such jerky comments by being a public figure but your blog is a treasure.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Wow, it's crazy what people feel they can say behind the anonymity of their computer keyboard... I always wonder what goes through their mind when they say things like this - ok, what a blogger is doing might not be your taste, but why should your taste dictate what others do?! If you were writing about beating women or slaughtering rabbits, I might understand the vitriol, but they don't like your body shape...?! Why is she reading your blog if it doesn't have anything to offer her? Ugh.

Anyway, I enjoy your blog, I'm not the same shape as you, but I'm not exactly a gazelle-like model either, so I enjoy seeing someone who's not a standard shape sewing clothes that suit her, fit her, and make her happy. And I'm always interested in your construction and drafting details too.

So when you see comments like this, shake your head sadly and continue writing for the rest of us.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Carolyn,
I, like many others who comment here, look forward to your posts, your clothing and your insight. Please ignore nasty people like that. It usually means their own life is a miserable mess since that's all they spew from that hole in their face. I appreciate everything you do!

  70. Hey are you listening to me, Carolyn? I am a woman of 49, who with your blog, has inspired me and also instilled jealously - never felt it before - I can pick out so many garments you have made that have encouraged me to get back behind the machine and love what I have not done for 18 years. Don't stop - I love your response. Dare I say - go girl or should it be - GO WOMAN!!! Looking forward to more. Now can I go back to just stalking you - I never commented before but felt compelled to. Best wishes - Carol from across the pond

  71. If she doesn't like your blog, she can just not read it. I see this as very self-centered of the rude commenter, since she thinks if a blog doesn't appeal to HER, it shouldn't exist. There's all kinds of people in the world, and 99% of blogs don't appeal to me either. But guess what--I just don't read the ones I don't like!

  72. You are gorgeous talented and so inspirational! I love your blog! I read many sewing blogs by woman of all shapes and sizes and what they all have in common is a unique style and a generosity and ability to share that with an audience through this medium. 75. I love the garments you create. More than that, I love the warm and loving personality that shines through your blogs. There are many blogs I follow and I usually go to yours first. Shine on Caroline. Grace, warmth and kindness beat cruelty and meanness every time.

  78. Oh my God ,Carolyn! I don't even know what to say to such a cruel comment except that it must be jealousy of your talent and charisma. I'm so sorry that you had to read that and I admire your response to it. All I can say is that I enjoy your blog and blogland just wouldn't be the same without you!

  79. If the good Lord wanted us all to be the same shape and size, I am sure in His infinite wisdom He would have created us that way. Not only did He create you with a talent that you bless many others with, He also gave you the wisdom to ignore small minded people. You have a blessed week. I love your blog.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Carolyn I really enjoy "YOUR" blog and appreciate the information and your amazing gift that you kindly share with the rest of us...I don't know why the Internet seems to bring out the critics. Last time I checked we write blogs because we like to share with those who have chosen to follow us...IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE BLOG, DON'T READ IT. Just that simple....Keep doing what you are doing and I will apologize for her nasty behavior, obviously her Momma did not teach her good manners.

  81. Unfortunately there are always some haters out there who like to hide behind their computer screen. The sewing community, for the most part, is full of very kind and supportive people as you know. But sometimes I think that those with unkind words should just keep their thoughts to themselves.

  82. Hi, I am a size 8 RTW and I am INSPIRED and in AWE of everything you sew. I believe that not only are the garments that you create beautiful but so are you! You model your garments beautifully and I appreciate you for sharing your tips and ideas! God bless.

    ReplyDelete
  83. keep up the good work and don't let them get you down. Love your taste, your insights and your words. If there are grammar police on the internet, I didn't realize it. And don't care. I am going thru the same thing, as I am part of a huge change in our local sewing group. Every day I get an email- "they are talking bad about you". Yeah, well that's their problem, not mine. I faithfully read your blog and have bought patterns and fabric based on something I saw here. You go girl!

    ReplyDelete
  84. You are totally inspiring, smart, kind, stylish, beautiful, and FABULOUS! Thank you for your wonderful blog!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. REALLY???? For starters, I just clicked on your blog because I have been out of town and it is my FAVORITE so I just had to catch up on what you have been doing... hope that tells you that I love everything you write! You have such an eye for trends and how to interpret them for your own style. You have a beautiful body that you only enhance by making your own garments that fit to a T. You share your joys and your frustrations with us to prove you are "real" and the number one thing you have done for me is to inspire me to start sewing again. I had had such poor results from trying to sew straight from a pattern... which goes to show that I needed you to guide me to fit and flatter my body. I am starting my own TNT patterns. But most of all, I am now looking at everything with new eyes as to how I can make what I see! THANK YOU!!!!!!

Yours was one of the first blogs I found and just love checking in when there's a new post up. Keep it up :-)

  89. I don't comment here very often, but I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your blog and your perspective as a professional woman sewing a wardrobe that works for your life and your body. It is very inspiring for other women (or at least for me, and apparently a bunch of others if the comments on here are any indication), and I appreciate that you keep on despite crap like that comment. Thanks! :D

    ReplyDelete
  90. I love your blog, your clothes, and how you model them. They are who you are. You are a wonderful role model and an inspiration.

My first thought was....To hell with what that lady had to say.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Carolyn, love you and your blog. Don't waste to much time being annoyed. For every one person like that, you have hundreds who thing otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  92. You ROCK everyday because of your content - but I am especially glad you called this b-i-t- - out. She was undoubtedly some kind of bully in her youth and she continues to be a very bad seed. Who cares how old you are? Who cares if there is a typo or God forbid, a grammatical error in your blog? And in case she has not noticed, the women in the US of A average a size 14 now - and size 22's are not all that uncommon! So, she is ignorant as well as nasty and I am glad you shut her down. She deserves to be slapped - internet style. Keep up the good work, Carolyn. YOU ROCK!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Carolyn: I feel I must comment. I'm not plus-sized but I love reading your blog. Your projects and design ideas and sewing skills are amazing and the fact that you are plus sized or "48" has nothing to do with those things. I make grammar errors and typos all the time and may well in this comment. What a jerk!?!
I hope you didn't spend a single instant being disheartened by that idiot. Who are we to judge? EVER!
It's Canadian Thanksgiving (I'm in Alberta) and I feel I have much to be thankful for. And your blog is one of them. Take care,

    ReplyDelete
  94. I am a regular reader, primarily a lurker, but had to come out to say that you're an inspiration. Keep it up! I have learned so much about techniques and fabrics from you.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Carolyn,
I am a size 14 in jeans in RTW and a Large - sometimes XL in shirts and blouses. I guess that makes me on the boarder between plus. I don't generally think of myself as plus though. I did start sewing clothing because it is so massively depressing to go clothes shopping. I had a very "average" proportions before having children and now my proportions are way off from average. The XL tends to billow on my back because I have a tiny waist in back and broad shoulders and in front if I get a smaller size I have strain marks. It makes me very happy to have access to your blog where you have a system to produce not just a couple of garments here and there for your body, but a system that allows you to create a well fitting and fashionable wardrobe. Keep being awesome and sharing with us because you are a gift.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Oh Carolyn! Don't ever stop blogging, showing us your creations or sewing and giving us advice. Personally I love reading your blog. I love the wisdom that you impart because you are very experienced and because you are a more mature woman. You look great for your age and I think you are beautiful. We truly do need to have women of all shapes, sizes and ages out there sewing and showing off what they made because it is empowering to all of us. We all have bumps and bulges where we don't want them. The majority of women are not supermodels - thank god!!

To be truthful, someone, somewhere will find something to grapple about or bring someone down about because they can. I know that I've experienced this so much, especially lately. I'm not a perfect sewer and even though I feel like I have great ideas, there's always someone who will think I'm "not that good" or "there are better ways of doing it" type thing. Whatever. These kinds of people can just go on and keep being critical and someday they'll pay for it. Don't listen to such rotten people. They are the minority. The majority love you and what you bring to the sewing blogosphere!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Small minded people are not worth our time. Carolyn, keep modeling and posting. You are a woman to be admired; both in your sense of style and for helping those of us who are overweight and looking for sewing inspiration.

    ReplyDelete
  98. My, my her comments were harsh. Never mind her. Keep on showing us your sewing skills and ideas. If you can create beautiful clothing that you enjoy making and that fit you, it really doesn't matter what anyone else says. I think you are a great inspiration to all of us more mature women who have a fluffier body shape.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Carolyn what she said is rude, disrespectful and well, frankly, spiteful. I guess she might say she is entitled to her opinion. And she is. But know that you have an army of followers out here who admire, respect and appreciate what you do. So keep doing it. We are all right behind you.

    ReplyDelete
  100. So I had to go back to your blog post to re-read what post could have brought out such a hateful response in someone. I saw the "missing" apostrophe, in a sentence very close to another that contain the same word with the apostrophe (I would have never found it had I not been looking for it mind you). If one omission constitutes "poorly written", please don't tell my boss because I would be out of work (and I proof read for a living LOL!).
Your style is not her style, she should have left it at that! On a sewing blog, I am far more inspired by someone (plus size, petite or whatever title we use) that can mold a pattern and fabric around a body. I'm I the crazy one that thought that that was the point? I like posts that show the inside of a make, again isn't that the point? If I just wanted to see "thin, beautiful people" I would look for blogs about that. So Carolyn, you inspire me DAILY! Not because your plus sized or over/under a certain age or because your grammar rivals my collage English professor, but because you LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the thing I love and you are kind enough to not keep secret what I have not learned yet. Thank you a million times over!

  101. I'm so sorry, someone wrote something so nasty. I love your blog. I find your work so inspiring, and I love to check in and see your latest creation. Thank you for sharing!

    ReplyDelete
  102. If you manage to finish reading all these comments here is mine. I love what you sew and I love seeing you model the clothes that you sew. You contribute so much to all of us that sew and you are appreciated. So......just keep on sewing and posting.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I have nothing particularly useful to add other than, you write my favorite sewing blog, so THANK YOU. My taste in clothes is pretty different from yours, but I still love the outfits that you put together because they are perfect for your life- and the crazy excellent skills you have! Your blog is such fun to read- definitely a highlight of my mornings when I see a new entry pop up on your feed. :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. Love your garments, love your style, love that you take time to share. People who are not happy with themselves cannot be happy with you. Her problem, don't spend a second of energy on someone whose opinion does not matter to you. If I knew her address I would like to mail her a big batch of exlax brownies, though.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Wowza, rudeness never cease to amaze me. My pastor use to always say..."let it bead up and roll off". I absolutely love, love, love your blog. I don't remember how i found it but it was one of the first ones and have been astounded by your brilliance. Your blog was one of the reasons i started a blog and the other was i thought it would jolt my sewjo into action and another that i too am a plus size woman. You represent us well. Be Proud and ignore small minded people.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Carolyn, you are the reason that I read sewing blogs today. I check your site frequently (missed this one cause the sugar plum pattern kept coming up and I thought you had not posted since Thursday). I am glad you are not letting such an ignorant person deter you from blogging. You are an inspiration to me and that other person is not. Keep on keeping on!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Time to drown that child in sugar! (On the theory that the best way to confound your enemies is to be super sweet toward them.) Or, all us "healthy" girls could gang up on her and hug her breathless ... that way she won't be able to spout any more nastiness out loud. We all have negative thoughts, but we don't all have to say them out loud or write them down and publish them, if it will hurt someone else. Tell the truth always, yes; but it is your privilege to shield the truth, when doing so will protect the reputation of another. Gee whiz, let's try to make ourselves bigger people by raising each other up, not by standing on top of others whom we've knocked to the floor.

    ReplyDelete
  108. What an incredibly thoughtless comment! And very limiting, too. I might not necessarily sew the same styles as you--or any of the predominately vintage blogs that I read, for that matter--but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy seeing or reading about your work. Hope you're not getting too annoyed by one lame commenter.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Thank you for your enjoyable blog! You are such a talented lady!!

    ReplyDelete
  110. I would have contacted her personally. I had to delete my earlier post because I added and n't! LOL!!!! I love your blog! Nuff Said! Das rite I sed it, Nuff!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. "although I hate to sound cruel", to me read a lot like "I'm not racist, but". If a person finds themselves writing either phrase, they should learn to use the delete button.

I am not plus-sized, but I am incredibly inspired by you and your blog. The person who wrote that comment is the very definition of Ugly.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Hi, I can't believe that someone would make such useless comments!! Why waste the time typing if you're not going to be constructive with comments. The blog is about your sewing which from I see is fantastic and you don't have to be a professional to be able to identify that. Sorry to sound off but comments about your age and weight - it's nothing to do with them. Butt out and mind your own business. I work as a CBT therapist and spend my days 'correcting' negative thinking often from comments made by people who should know better aka over the age of 18!!! Long may you post and long may I continue to enjoy such wonderful blogs and photos by/of you.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Ahh Dear Lady... Isn't it heartwarming to see that far more people adore you and your blog than not.
Keep up the good work. We appreciate you!

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'm glad that you aren't put off by this poster and her attitude. As an "over 48" and plus size person, I'm inspired by your dresses, because I don't wear dresses anymore. I feel that I'm too overweight to be seen in one. You look great in your creations and I don't see anything that looks that good in the stores.

    ReplyDelete
  115. What a feminine hygiene bag!!!!! that is as nice as I can put it. I love your site, your inspiration, your design modification. Hell I wish you would do tutes :) Its (tee hee) YOUR BLOG. Your personal sewing diary that your are kind enough to share with us, as a novice sewer (tee hee) I appreciate your opinion and the fact the you showcase a larger sized woman can have style and look good in things besides flowers, maternity looking tops and paisley.

That person can kiss it twice

    ReplyDelete
  116. Carolyn, I did not read all of the other comments because there were so many. However, I would like to say thank you, a huge thank you. Because of you, I can make nice garments being a plus size woman. Thank you for being out there and doing what you do. You inspire me and I hope you never stop. I think her comment was rude, disrespectful, and unwarranted. if she doesn't like what you put on your blog, she can go to another one. I will stop here. Because I am getting madder and madder as I think about it. How dare she?

    ReplyDelete
  117. I come here, and follow with Bloglovin. I rarely leave a comment because you have so many and I feel that being at the bottom you'll soon get tired and not even read mine. But!!! I could not resist saying " some people have something to say , and some people just have to say something. My philosophy is if you can't say something good, nice, edifying, etc. don't say anything. Some people just need to keep their mouths shut and look in the mirror and discuss what they see there and they will not have time to criticize and critique others. I always come here for inspiration and will continue to be inspired here.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Well said!
What some people forget is that we blog about sewing skills and style and whatever we feel like.
Of course I can understand that some intricate patterns would not show as well on a plus size figure, like me but many others do!

I have read so much about plus size sewing lately, I find it weird. It's like Karl Lagerfeld made little clones and spread them in our blogosphere.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I'm going to copy another commenter, Dee, because she said what I was thinking. "I read you blog often, although I rarely comment. This prompted me to take the extra time."
I too appreciate seeing a plus size woman represented on our online communities. We are few and far between online. This is the exact opposite of the customers in actual sewing stores and quilting expos were we dominate the demographic.
But beyond that, you are one talented and hard working sewer and you inspire me all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  120. As everyone else here has said, I love your blog and your art. Your creativity and talent are inspiring. Your humor is refreshing. Your detractor is a narrow minded idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Carolyn, I follow your blog on Bloglovin, following your recommendation and I have never commented until now.

But I wanted to let you know that I love all your work, the words, the photos, your Instagram feed, the grandchildren, the journey, every part of it.

You always look great and you never fail to inspire me.

    Keep up the good work.

  122. I rarely comment on blogs, I just hang in the background and glean great information from them, yours included. I am sorry there are people out there who have to say ugly things, please don't let that keep you from doing what you do. As far as size goes, I am up there with you, and anyone who does not like that can go take a flying leap. Your projects are enjoyable, informative, and creative, regardless of what size you stitch up. Thank you for all you do.

  123. I know I haven't commented in awhile but was just due to lack of internet availability, but when I saw this post I had to comment asap. I love your blog and I wish more plus size women did model their creations. Your blog is the one blog I read the most and look forward to each post. As a black American Muslim woman I know what it means to have thick skin and what others ignorant say about you do know rule who you are, keep up the posting and rub it in ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  124. OK, this comment makes me want to go fight someone! Ugh! I don't know why the internet gives some folks the license to say things they would never say to another person's face. And dude, DIFFERENT STROKES! I'm glad that not every sewing blog is the same-- I'd be bored out of my mind if everyone was making the same things! Your lifestyle and wardrobe has basically 0 overlap with mine (case in point: I wore a knit cardigan over a football t-shirt with jeans with a hole in the back pocket to work today, and my coworkers would choke on their coffee if I showed up in your new Vogue separates), and though our tastes are totally different, I'm still always blown away by your makes! Beyond that, I never cease to be inspired by techniques and your approach to garment sewing!

Keep doing what you do, and haters, stuff a sock in it!

    ReplyDelete
  125. I also love all of your blog. Can't wait to read a post. Love your garments you make and you sure look darn good in everything I have seen. I really do love your blog and wish I looked as good as you do. Thick skin. Never give up blogging as you have been doing.

    ReplyDelete
  126. OMG this is so hilarious. I mean who does she think she is. What a self righteous idiot. Please go back to being amused -
Don't waste energy on anger on someone so shallow and narcissistic. You have inspired so many including me. I read your blog religiously and it is always an inspiration.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Just....wow.....
Well, I guess she doesn't have to read your blog, now does she...
The REST of us will continue to enjoy and learn.

  128. As a lady raised in the South, I can only made this statement to the remarks of reviewer of your blog, "God bless her heart." Which in the South translates to "I can not believe she is that stupid!" Carolyn, please keep sharing your sewing, fashion and wisdom with us.

Also a kick in the butt for me to get back on it too!

  131. There are soooo many wonderful comments about your blog that those others DON'T matter. I personally love your blog, sewing, and Spirit. It's awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Well, what can I say? I'm one of those girls,(oops! Women) who skipped the single digits in clothing size and I'm happy to blog. If my pictures aren't posted it's only because I haven't been out to wear my completed items. It will be my mission to post this body. It would be nice to be a size 8, but my mind would have some serious issues dealing with it.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Your confidence is awesome, and you know what? You should be confident and proud: you have a lot of talent and style, and so many of us love reading about what you're up to each day/week/whatever. I am sorry that some people feel the need to be so negative and small-minded, but you rise above it marvelously. <3

    ReplyDelete
  134. Carolyn, I love your blog and I hope you won't let this kind of petty comment make you discouraged. You are a very talented sewer and I love that you know yourself and your style very well; your dresses are always inspiring. Ignore the haters!

What puzzles me is... why does this person feel the need to express her dislike for your blog? I mean, there are a few blogs out there that I don't care for, so I just stopped reading them. No need to post ugly things about them on the internet!

Actually, on a second thought, I do have a problem with your blog: you make me so jealous! I wish I could sew as fast and as well as you do, and model my garments with as much joy and elegance as you show in the photos.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Just keep laughing because that poor girl will grow up to be the ancient age of 48 someday and her hips will spread too! Just know that there are sooo many others that love you and your blog. And I've already told the kids that if I win the lottery, I'm sending you $ for the sewing machine or fabric of your dreams just because your blog gives me such enjoyment and inspiration!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Wow...how rude... I love your blog. You are the reason I started sewing again. I'm plus-size and tall, so very hard to fit. You showed me that plus-size women can totally rock their clothes, once they find ones that fit. And the only way to do that seems to be to sew them ourselves. You are so appreciated!!!

    ReplyDelete
  137. I can't even imagine what you felt as you read that. How awful!!! But you know what they say about karma... it's a b!tch.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Wretched woman. I cannot comprehend the mentality that believes this is acceptable behaviour.
Thankfully you are far too much of a lady to fall to her level.
And, as these comments show, she is surely mistaken in her "opinion".

    ReplyDelete
  139. I'm so sorry that you had someone post something like that. I guess she doesn't realize it would have been better for her to move on to another blog rather than bash someone.
I enjoy reading your blog and seeing your wonderful productiveness. I have family members of all sizes and like seeing the clothing of all sizes.

    ReplyDelete
  140. What in the world will she do when she hits 48??!!? Hopefully she'll have better manners by then.

    You are always inspiring.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I wouldn't waste your time and energy being annoyed by her. She is so opinionated and full of herself, she can't even appreciate the beauty of Kate Middleton's wedding dress( I had to go see what kind of posts she leaves on that sight.) She is an uppity so & so, so be it. Notice we aren't reading her blog (I doubt she has one), but yours. Be good to n yourself and ignore someone who makes themselves feel better by belittling others.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Carolyn, I missed this. YOU INSPIRE ME. I am fair, fat and over 50 nothing in the shops fits me in terms of work wear I always enjoy seeing what you make, what it looks like and how it relates to what is on the catwalk. I enjoy many blogs but yours is one that I use to help me be a better sewer. I don't expect you will be anything more than mildly put out by this but I am sending you huge kudos and thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Carolyn- I just found your blog 2 days ago and it was the first I have bookmarked in months. I was so excited to see you modeling plus sized clothing and seeing how you adapt your TNT patterns! Thank you sincerely for your time and effort.

As for Tailleuse- I have understood for many decades that the handful of arrogant idiots living in NYC are truly not the self-anoited gods they profess to be.

There is a tremendous amount of good information to be gleaned from the CutterandTailor forum though the posting participants rarely provide any applicable expertise themselves. Most knowledge is posted in the form of out-of-print tailoring books. It took me several months of reading to glean an explanation of "drape" and even then that happened only because of a side discussion. I rarely visit the site any longer as I prefer the open discussion of the people on SG, the insight and true expertise generously shared by JefferyD, and now your take on flattering the plus-sized figure.

There's also something so sad and depressing about those at CutterandTailor lamenting the oncoming demise of traditional tailoring and yet staunchly adhering to those attitudes certain to guarantee its death. Ignorance does not educate.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Wow I missed this post and boy is the person rude and mean. I am a plus size, I enjoy your posts and you inspire me. If she doesn't like your post she shouldn't read. Also, this isn't an english class, we just type our feelings, and sometimes our thoughts go faster than our minds and are spelling isn't the best, but who cares. They are just mean and probably always have been mean and rude. That is uncalled for. My mother always taught me if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything.

    ReplyDelete
  145. WOW! I miss reading one day and foolishness erupts. You are super talented, well-informed AND stylish. Where does it say that everyone has to like everyone's style? Isn't that part of what makes us unique? You are amazing and that person is a jerk.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I thought for sure she would have criticized you on your use of 'dayum' instead of 'damn.' =)

Meh. Keep it moving, C. There will always be someone, somewhere to take issue with SOMETHING. You're a woman. You're Black. You're curvy. Whatevs. Don't let her problem with you be YOUR problem with you. This is what I have to remind myself.

    ReplyDelete
  147. In my opinion, she really should learn the difference between giving constructive criticism and opinions and being a holier than thou arse.

    ReplyDelete
  148. The thing about the Internet is that you will find negative responses to everything under the sun. I think you were the very first sewing blogger that I started following and I read through all your back entries and was so disappointed when I caught up. You are fantastic and some small minded petty comments don't change that.

    ReplyDelete
  149. My experience is that people only insult you when you are successful! Which is weird, but there you go. If you have small blog with just a few readers, one of which is your mom, you probably aren't going to get many negative comments. : ) But once you have "arrived" folks seem to think you are an open target. So take these comments as confirmation that your blog is successful, impactful, and meaningful! You are making a difference in the world and I love reading your posts. : )

    ReplyDelete
  150. What a small sad person she must be. I read your blog all the time, but I dont always comment. Who appointed her style and grammar queen? You do beautiful work, and your sense of style is inspirational.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Wow Carolyn...that was just so nasty and such an inappropriate comment....there are truly many toxic people out there.....so unfortunate it was aimed at you .
please continue sharing your wonderful projects and like the others I too enjoy reading your blog :)

.......this saying comes to mind. .....

  152. It made me sad to read your post & I have to wonder WTF her parents ever taught her about respect.

That aside, I read through the army of sewcialists who have rallied in commentary support of you & I smile. Im so glad there are many more lovers than there are haters. Bless you & keep on keeping on. We love you!

    ReplyDelete
  153. I can't help thinking that on some level this woman is threatened by you.
I for one, (and clearly not alone when looking at all the other comments) am glad that there is someone out there (you)doing reviews so as to guide those of us with fuller figures. Please don't let badly mannered people stop all the great work you're doing.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Thick skin is definitely what you have to have when you put yourself out there and my sistah, you represent us WELL! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR BLOG!!! Keep up the GREAT work.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Somehow I missed this, but you mentioned it in a later post so I looked for it. Jeez. What a jerk. It's not just that you represent under served plus size sewers, but plus size fashion in general. You, let some nasty piece of work get you to stop blogging? Not gonna happen. Why people think that the anonymity of the internet gives them license to be nasty and cruel is beyond me. I suspect she's just as nasty in person.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I am sure I am repeating what has been said before in previous posts, but I love your style. You are 'sharp for a while', and I love watching you interpret new designs, tailoring them to make them flattering to you. Your use of lace has been just breathtaking. As for your age, you have blown me away. I know you have a grandchild, but for some reason that never equaled you being too much over 40 LOL. Love you and your style.

    ReplyDelete
  157. That woman is an absolute cow. I'd say this is a big case of projection - she must be really insecure about her own appearance to be picking fault with yours. It must kill her to see someone happy and confident despite not looking 18 years old and being a size 0. Actually we should probably all just feel sorry for her.
Anyway, I love what you do, and I love the fact that most of the sewing community (apart from that sad-arse) can see that real beauty is about so much more than being a certain age and dress size.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I am so glad you posted your post! Mean people suck! You are out there sewing and doing your thing.. you didn't invite her to come on in to your "home" and say such horrible things. I think you should check out Olivia Omega from Love.Liv.Laugh.com she did a great talk at the sewing summit this year where she states that you want to attract and repel people! Looks like to me, that you have attracted many of us because of her (your nasty blog lady) repulsion. I love your blog for who you are…..You're awesome!!

    ReplyDelete
  159. How rude! Carolyn you have so many people who love your blog and I'm one of them. I'm also a plus size woman and am so glad I have you in my life to encourage me to blog about my sewing journey and to put my curves out there on the www and to encourage other plus size sewers to do the same. If they don't like it they don't have to look and they sure don't have to read the blog posts if they don't like them. There's 1000s of others they can read instead! I personally LOVE your blog and LOVE your writing style and all the pics you share xxx. Mmmm I'm wondering if they may be a little jealous of you and your blog and the number of readers and commenter's you have? Would be interesting to see if they have such a loyal and appreciative following as you do. Big hugs to you Carolyn and a plus size thank you for being you xxx

  160. You go and keep on sewing and posting! It is often the person who is criticizing in that way that has an issue with themselves and therefore cannot be happy for others.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I rarely comment on blogs but this has touched a nerve. I have enjoyed you blog since I discovered it through Gorgeous Fabrics and mostly due to the fact you are a normal size!! You are an excellent seamstress and have inspired me to sew for myself, not just my grandchildren. Ignore the "haters" and keep up the great dialog and reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  162. We appreciate you taking the time to share your sewing world with us!! I hv learnt slit from reading your posts and I hope one small minded person doesn't discourage you from sharing your knowledge and expertise with the rest of us!

  166. Very few people have perfect bodies (and even the ones who seem to be perfect have their secret imperfections.)Not everyone is young either. Where is this person living? Fairy tale land? I enjoy reading your blog precisely because I get inspiration to dress my older and larger self in a stylish way...

  167. Carolyn, I am a plus size sewer and I really appreciate your blog. I used to tell myself that I needed to lose weight before I sewed anything for me. After that didn't work I started searching for sewing blogs in hopes of finding bloggers with extra curviness. I discovered your blog and have learned to love and appreciate my body " as is". Keep blogging and posting pics of your awesome garments. I've said it before and I will say it again--You are an inspiration!

  168. There are enough folks here who think your blog is great to drown out all of that negative noise. People are so rude. I enjoy seeing what you create! Your blog is one of the first blogs I found years ago when I got into the whole blogging thing. -Nizzy

  169. I'm not going to say anything about that comment because I could go ON A TANGENT and I'm pretty sure you want to keep your blog comments fairly family-friendly sooo all I can say is... are you really 54?? Really?? Dangit Carolyn, I had you at like mid-40s at the oldest!

  170. Oh, for heaven's sake! Delete, delete, delete! I love your blog, your fearless enthusiasm, your joy in sewing, your disgust with racism, your pride in our president and his family, your willingness to just dive right into new ideas, your love of fabric and shoes, your passion for your family, and your joy in writing. I really look forward to reading your thoughts and ideas. My life is so enriched because you share yourself. Thank you for being you, Carolyn. You are a treasure.

  171. I read you SPECIFICALLY because you are my age and "normal" sized. At a certain age, many of us turn into Aunt Bea. :)

Thank you "Aunt" Carolyn, for being here with us!

  172. Clearly this person has never stopped to read your blog. They have focused on such trivial details their comments aren't worth anything. You have wonderful priorities (family and God first), so much talent and are always kind in what you have to say. I so appreciate your talent and how kind you are to share your knowledge with all of us. I'm so sorry you saw these unkind words, and I hope all of these nice ones help erase the negative comment.

  173. Don't worry about the bad words. The quote "What Susie says of Sally, says more of Susie than of Sally" definitely applies to the person.

I've been following your blog for almost a year. And I, as a sewing newbie, often look at some of your posts as reference in sewing.

  174. Ugh, what a nasty, mean old.... (I won't write it because I refuse to curse in type) Don't let those negative words have too much power. A comment like that comes from a pretty miserable person. I love reading your blog and am constantly inspired by the things you make and the information you put out there. Don't give that comment another thought :)

  175. What Debbie Cook said.

I don't comment often, but I love your blog. I love your enthusiasm, TNTs, fabric stash, sewing cave. You have broadened my education and imagination. I never would have considered modifying patterns without your amazing examples. Thank you for always broadening my horizons! :-)

  176. Waaaaaay back in the day I was a size 3. Now that I'm in my 60s, my body has changed. At one time, I was over 200 pounds. Thanks to a great nutritionist, I lost about 40 pounds, but am still what many might want to call 'overweight.' How unfortunate that some people can't appreciate the beauty of a world filled with people of all sizes. I'm not sure how old Talleuse is, but if she lives long enough, she will one day realize that even her svelte figure will change with time. Thanks, Carolyn for taking the high road. You are an inspiration to all... regardless of size.

  177. Seriously? Some people just really hate themselves, I guess, and have to take it out on others of whom they are envious! My dad used to say that: go with the 3 that love you and forget the 7 who can't be nice even exist. I love your blog. I love your style, and you just keep sewing and posting, girl. :)

  178. Please don't let those comments make you sew even one less stitch. I'm inspired by your sewing, and how you alter patterns to flatter your figure. My niece has a similar build to yours, and I came here today to forward some links from your site to her for some sewing inspiration for her work wardrobe, and fitting advice.

I'm also surprised that she would pick on your writing. I am a grammar nerd, but I know that bloggers don't have an editing staff behind the scenes. I find that your blog is well-written when compared to most others.

Finally, I'd like to say that I read your blog & follow your posts to Mood because I love so much of what you create. Thank you for posting your lovely work!

  179. I really liked your post. If that 'woman' didn't like your blog, why didn't she just move on. She indeed must be a very unhappy unfulfilled person and doesn't seem to follow good blog etiquette. I love your conversational style of writing. You are VERY inspiring!
