But I can't decide on which buttons I should put on the jacket! So here's your chance to tell me what to do...
The flower buttons:
Or the vintage black buttons...
All buttons are from M&J Trimmings and I will give a full update on the jacket tomorrow after I review the votes.
I also cut out a 4-gore TNT skirt, the Simplicity 3631 dress (yes, I am making it again) and a pair of lined TNT pants.
So tell me what you think!
I like the flower buttons.

I like the vintage buttons!

Sounds like a very fun, productive weekend! I like the vintage black buttons....more sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteLinda M.
The vintage black ones! More elegant!
ReplyDeleteI like them both too! But I think the size of the flower ones suits the style of jacket better.

I like the flower buttons. They are whimsical but they really would make the jacket pop. That would make me stop and look at your jacket and think, "Wow, now that's a really cute jacket". Choices, choices!
ReplyDeleteI like both sets of buttons but the flower ones made the jacket pop more on my monitor. Either set would be a winner in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI like both sets of buttons, but I vote for the flower buttons. I like the size of them better than the vintage. ... great jacket, btw!
ReplyDeleteFlowers, please!

I like the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI really like the flower buttons, but for this project, I think I will go with the vintage buttons.
ReplyDeleteFlower!! :-D -Jeanette (jemgirlca)
ReplyDeleteI like the flower ones too...
ReplyDeleteI prefer the vintage buttons. They are more elegant and subtle, and I think blend better with the fabric. Either way would be great, though! Karent
ReplyDeleteI like the vintage buttons. But, this does lead me to ask how long have you had them for them to count as vintage??
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you've done with your jacket. And boy do I love that color.
I really like the flower buttons. They make the jacket more special
ReplyDeleteOkay - I'm going to be difficult. I like the look of the vintage buttons better - I agree with all the others that say they look more sophisticated - however, I think they are too small. The flower buttons look to be a better size, but I'm not loving the design of them for this garment - too cutesy. So, I guess neither button is perfect to my eye. Now, if I was forced to choose, I'd pick the vintage buttons.
ReplyDeleteHum.... I agree with Shannon on the size matter; I love both buttons (as far as I can see from the pictures), but for this jacket I think I like the vintage ones better if only they were a little bigger... But ultimately this is your choice and whatever you chose this is going to be a gorgeous jacket!
ReplyDeleteI like the flower buttons.
ReplyDeleteBTW, what does TNT stand for?
The vintage for me, but agree with Shannon and Tany that they seem a bit small. Seems like you have to choose for yourself, there's no consensus. It will be a beautiful jacket, whichever you choose.
ReplyDeleteThey are both nice but I like the black vintage ones best.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone who's said the vintage buttons are not quite big enough. I like the flowers, though, for a bit of whimsy. I think because they are black, on a black jacket, they don't look *too cutesy.*
ReplyDeleteI like the size of the flower button best, too, but prefer the design of the vintage. Are the vintage ones available in a larger size?
ReplyDeleteI love the flower buttons. They spoke to me right away. You can't go wrong with the vintage- they are in such good taste.
ReplyDeleteBut the flower buttons are so fun.
Lucky lucky you- you have access to M&J Trim.
I'd get lost in there and need to be rescued.
The flower buttons stand out nicely.
ReplyDeleteI like both too, but agree that the vintage would be the one to go with if they were a bit larger. What type of fabric is the jacket? Can't wait to see what you decide!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of the vintage buttons best, but agree that they need to be a bit bigger. Either way, your jacket is looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWell, we all like to put in our 2 cents, don't we? I agree, vintage buttons are more sophisticated and elegant.
ReplyDeleteI am probably too late to the party, but if not, then I would go for the flower ones. However, I think larger buttons would look pretty cool....if you have any?
ReplyDeleteI like the vintage.
