It was a great month! I haven't quite decided if this next month will be totally devoted to making work clothing or if I will switch over towards the end of the month to make some maxi dresses for the vacay in August. Right now I'm in work mode and the thought of ending this run of creativity is a little "frightening" to me, so we shall see. Especially since I want to use the very popular McCalls 6559...
...and the new McCalls 6612...
...for a couple new maxis. I'm hoping that a couple of weekends will get me the additional maxi dresses I need for the vacay...because I have a few more ideas for work garments that I'd like to get made before July ends.
Lastly, I hope all my sewing sisters in Maryland, Virginia, W. Virginia and the D.C. area are doing okay since the power is out in quite a few places and the temperatures are boiling...
...as always, more later!
Very productive--and quite lovely--June, Carolyn! That linen print is still my favorite! I look forward to seeing what comes out of your sewing cave in July!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you've made some beautiful pieces. I haven't embraced the maxi dress (not a surprise) but I'm eager to see yours. I"ll be watching.
ReplyDeleteFantastic wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a productive month! And what a lovely summer wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteLove those knit fabrics for your maxi dresses, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you were doing it big in June! Great job! Looking forward to what July has in store. The maxi is a great place to start. Can't wait to see your versions (I know personally you just can't sew one *giggle*)!
ReplyDeleteWhat great coordinating pieces Carolyn. I can never get over how productive you are!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a coincidence! I just cutout a top in navy stripes using McCall's 6559 View F minus the star.
WOW! What a productive month. I love the ivory crepe pieces - very flattering on you!
ReplyDelete(Thanks for continuing to check in at my almost dormant blog!)
Very impressive, Carolyn! You've created some nice pieces. I can't remember the last time I had such a productive period.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of great sewing Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteIts amazing how much you have sewn, I am sure those knits will not sit there for very long
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome June! Every outfit is pretty and flattering. You really are on a roll. I'd love to see you make some maxi's and get your insights on the process.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on all the sewing. Really like the fabrics for the maxi patterns.
ReplyDeleteI want to make a few of those maxis too! You are really on a roll, so many new garments!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky with the storm, my power went out but quickly came back on after flickering through the storm. And besides lots of smallish branches through the lawn, no major tree damage.
What a fantastic job you have done in June. I look so forward to seeing what July holds? Some beautiful things, I am quiet sure.
ReplyDeleteHappy sewing.
Gosh you are a machine.
ReplyDeleteSix garments in a month! You are on a roll. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that first pic of you!I want to look like you when I grow up. First i need to feel comfortable in my skin - working on that.
ReplyDeleteLove the maxi with the cowl! Might have to go pick that one up for my long sewing week :)
