Tomorrow is the beginning of the weekend...and I'm so thrilled! I need a weekend in the sewing cave working on some new garments.
...as always, more later!
I'm feeling inspired for dresses too. Hope you get the mojo happening over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Jessica London dress. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty inspirations.. Love them.. I really like the Jessica London one..
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you make next.. Such an inspiration.
Love the lacy effect with the plaid fabric! The Hot Patterns dress looks very intriguing. I can't wait to see your inspirations come to fruition.
ReplyDeleteOh they're so lovely. I am in love with the Coldwater Creek dress, the midrif band would be great for control! As always, I really look forward to seeing your creations. I have embarked on the TNT path, and am in the midst of creating basic blocks! Thank you Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteYou picked some pretty inspirational pieces. The VB Cloud dress is both interesting and unique. Have fun creating. Can't wait to see.....
ReplyDeleteYou are having too much fun! It will be fun to see your inspiration convert to garments.
ReplyDeleteI am finding your blog addictive, great sewing. http://mimisasyouwish.blogspot.co.nz/2011/11/fabric-stores-in-new-york-city.html Thought the above link may be of interest to you
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for the inspiration. It's amazing. I adore that lace over plaid fabric - I'm guessing you've had it for years, right? g
ReplyDeleteI really like all the lace dresses! The other ones are pretty too! Can't wait to see what you make with all these great inspiration pieces.
ReplyDeleteHello it has been a while since I visited your blog I have not been here in a while love your ideas I wanted to ask a question about one of your inspirations but I do not want to put you on the spot can I email you my question it is stickly sewing related thanks
ReplyDeleteLove the Piperlime and black & white dresses. I might need that Vogue pattern with the jacket, skirt and dress for lawyer daughter. A fuller wardrobe can't hurt a young professional, right, and at the same time satisfy my urge to sew?
ReplyDeleteWe can all wish for sewing caves like the HGTV one, but nothing ever looks the same IRL as on TV, does it?
Happy Sewing Cave Weekend! Hope your inspiration breaks up your mental logjam.
Great inspiration garments and looooove J. Hudson's dress.
ReplyDeleteOhhh waiting with anticpation to see whats next, but don't feel rushed or pressured :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I just adore those first white lace dresses; so pretty! and the mustard dress with the square neckline, and the yellow suit too.
ReplyDeleteThank for your gorgeous comments; and yes, I did think those pockets looked like V1247, but didn't see the pattern number cited on your post anywhere. They are a fabulous feature on your dress!
Y'know, I was inspired by a black lace dress in a window that I drove past this morning and I thought, "I need a dress like that". I've a wedding to go to this summer and this LBD in lace really caught my eye. It was above the knee, plain 60's style dress with 3/4 flared sleeves. I like your inspiration posts.... I'm still looking for the perfect tweed to make up that green tweed outfit you posted about months ago..... I confess I stole the picture for my inspiration board!
ReplyDeleteSuch great plans! I may have to downright copy some of them! I was browsing the Vogue pattern magazine last night and that bright yellow jacket really caught my eye..love the sleeve detail.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful inspiration photos. I also want to thank you for your comments about lists, struggling with time/energy to sew, etc. I was on a major guilt trip about all of the above, but now I don't feel so bad after all! Before I forget....thanks for your TNT ideas and tips. I've finally found a great candidate for my TNT dress and your ideas are super helpful.
ReplyDeleteOh Wee - I'm inspired. white/cream dress, color blocking, Vogue 8799, Magnolias and coral ponte knit may all be in my future.
ReplyDeleteHappy sewing/designing!
