I Couldn't Wait...

I walked past the newsstand this morning on the way to the subway and I saw the September InStyle Magazine. *sigh*  I wanted it so bad but I have a subscription so I have to wait.  I also have a subscription to Bazaar, Allure and Marie Claire. The only September issue I've received is from Marie Claire...and I always like to buy the September Vogue from the newsstand...somehow it seems like that's the way it's suppose to be.

However, when I got to work today (after doing my civic duty and voting in the NJ Democratic Primaries), I whipped out my iPad and downloaded the new September Vogue and the September Bazaar.  Seriously I just can't wait for the US Mail to get their act together and get them to my mailbox.

I'm so glad that I did though...because the interactives in the September Vogue are awesome!  Anna actually narrates a piece that's included in the editor's letter. So if you haven't received your fave September fashion magazines and own an iPad or a Kindle - try downloading them!  It's worth it!!

Tomorrow I pull the name of the first winner of "The Fabric Giveway"...so stay tuned!

...as always more later!

  1. I am exactly the same way. I have subscriptions to Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and Harper's Bazaar. I need to pick up In Style as I let my subscription expire. I love the September issues.....Note to self on the way home stop at the supermarket and pick it up! Looking forward to the drawing

  3. Which fashion mags/web sites/blogs are an absolute must for you when planning your seasonal sewing? I think I do not utilize those resources enough for inspiration, and wanted to know your opinion(if you care to share). THX

  4. I don't buy a lot of magazines and that is probably bad on my part. I also wonder which mags/websites/blogs you use to help you with your planning.

  5. I thought about you yesterday when I bought the only fall issue I could find at the grocery, "glamour". Went through it thinking what you would choose! Please do a series on new looks you like!

  8. I got the Marie Clair magazine this past Saturday and have been planning to go to B&N to see if Vogue is in. Maybe I should try downloading Vogue, yet I am so use to holding it and turning the pages. Less clutter with iPad though. Hmmm!

  9. I feel the same way about September Vogue. It arrives in my mailbox a good 3 weeks after it appears in New York newsstands. I nearly always break down and buy a newsstand copy.

  12. I periodically subscribe to Vogue. I really only want September and March's editions. I ALWAYS subscribe to Marie Clare. I haven't gotten my September edition from them yet, though. I'm troubled since you got yours.... I agree, there is something ceremonial about buying your Sept/Mar Vogue from the store and holding it with love like a newborn in your arms..... I know where I'm going for lunch!

  14. I received my Fall Fashions edition of W this week. It's as big as the old Sears catalogs. Weighs a ton! Can't wait to sit down and go through it page by page. Even though I live in the sunny south, we still have subtle seasonal changes. I love to change my wardrobe just like I did when I was living 'up north'.
