A little about HotPatterns ~
HotPatterns is an independent sewing pattern company, started in 2005, and run by two Londoners who have somehow found themselves living and working in the steamy southwest of Florida.
It's a small family business that enjoys working hard to create the best high-fashion sewing patterns in the world. All of their products are designed and produced in the USA.
Trudy does the designing, pattern drafting and all of the creative stuff. She's been in the garment trade for a long time, and is just a little bit obsessed with fashion. Jeremy is the brains of the outfit; he deals with the business side, as well as keeping an eye on the production schedule. Trudy & Jeremy work with a small team of helpers, or Folding Fairies as they like to be called, plus random sample makers, and pattern testers.

Good luck and Happy National Sewing Month!
I would love to try a hot pattern! I had one from their first year - 2005 but it was lost during a move before I actually sewed the dress. Thanks for hosting, Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteI apologize if I comment twice- my browser hijacked- I was saying I'd choose 1186 woven t shirt and dress as it looks like a comfortable style with a flattering shape for me. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI like the Marrakesh pants. They look like they would be very comfy. My pants are either dress slacks or jeans, nothing like these. This pattern co has patterns for clothes I would wear.
ReplyDeleteBaa
Love it!!
ReplyDeleteMarrakesh pants.
ReplyDeleteI've only ever bought one HP-pattern, would love to try the Fast & Fabulous La Strada T-Shirt.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Hot Patterns. I really like the Riviera Cote d'Azur dress. It looks like it would be a very useful style and flattering, too.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried them either, but I've certainly looked. Hard to choose one, but have picked HP 1211 Weekender Swingy Sweatshirt & Sweaterdress - looks cool!
ReplyDeleteI have used Hot Patterns before and loved it!
ReplyDeleteI am so in need of the Weekender Chameleon dress. Slouchy for the weekend and elegance in shiny, draping fabric for the evening. Fitting around the bust to show off my figure and loose around the waist so I can have pudding too. What more could a girl want.
ReplyDeleteLove this blog--I'd make Xanadu Soft Jacket, HP 1219 as I'm just learning to make and line jackets and this one looks fabulous....
ReplyDeleteWhat a great selection of patterns they have. I would choose the HP 1210 A4 download Fast & Fabulous Draped Blouses.
ReplyDeleteLove their patterns and your blog! very inspiring and uplifting. I would love the HP1151 Lantern skirt
ReplyDeleteI really love the look of the Fast & Fabulous La Strada T-Shirt. I think it will suit my larger hips and tummy, and I love the on-line tutorial. I have the perfect patterned rayon to make it in
ReplyDeleteI bought a skirt in Italy similar to the lantern skirt. I'd love to have the pattern to make my own versions.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I've had such good luck with the F&F Shirttail T pattern that I'm thinking I'd like to try the new Plain & Simple Tailored T's pattern. I'm torn, though, because I also saw a stunning Nani Iro version of the Wong-Singh-Jones Sakura Bomber Jacket on Instagram the other day and now I can't get that out of my head.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the Wong-Singh-Jones Madame Butterfly Wrap Dress. So pretty & looks very flattering.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
Might Morphin' Cardigan Jacket. I have a gap in my patterns, and that would fill it nicely. Thanks :)
ReplyDelete1197, slim bootcut jeans, looks great!
ReplyDeleteI would Luke the plain and simple scooter jacket. Fall is approaching and I think this would be a good looking item to make to have ready for its arrival.
ReplyDeleteI would like the Milano Dolman T. This is from the Fast & Fabulous collection, and I've grown tired of fiddling with fussy patterns. I have a couple of ready to wear Ts with a rushed hip band, and I really like that look - loose top, tight hip. I've been eyeing hotpatterns for a while, but I've been timid about jumping onto their bandwagon. $15 to $20 is fine for a pattern I'm confident about, but a bit stiff for the first try.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't looked at Hot Patterns for a long time since I don't do much garment sewing anymore. Now I can't make up my mind which one I'd love to win. Guess I'll go with HP 1169. Might have to order some others too.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of free Hot Patterns in my collection, but haven't tried them yet. I'd love to try the Madame Butterfly Wrap Dress (1204).
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the HP Scooter Jacket. I haven't made anything with raglan sleeves in a long time.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the skinny boot cut jeans. I've made 2 of their other jeans patterns. I've made several HP patterns thru the years
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the HotPatterns giveaway----I'd make the Fast and Fabulous Tummy Taming Trousers! The fact that they have a tailored look (which is my comfort zone) and combine that with the comfort of pajamas means I'm all in!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the Weekender Chameleon Dress. The name is intriguing and the design looks like it would fit my shape to accent my assets and minimize what I want to hide. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteSandra
I'm a relatively new garment sewer and would like a chance to try out the a-line and pencil skirt pattern - it's looks like it would be a great staple in the wardrobe. I've enjoyed reading your posts, thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI love the Whats new Pussycat blouse. I have wanted to make a blouse like that for a while now.
ReplyDeleteI would love win hp1121 Riviera Cote D' Azur Knit Dress, Tunic & Top, but I am drawn to the la strada t shirt and the fast & fabulous tummy taming trousers too!

ReplyDeleteI'm entering. I see all these people winning. I think it's my turn. LOL Thanks for the opportuniy
ReplyDelete1201 Fast & Fabulous Montpelier Dress, pretty please! Thank you, Hot Patterns and Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway! Now for the hard part, choosing just one pattern. Well the Wong-Singh-Jones Sakurn bomber jacket has to be my pick for the unique styling. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at the Riviera Côte D'azure dress / tunic pattern this AM, would love to make that dress!
ReplyDeleteWeekender Cargo Pants would be perfect for Fall and Winter. Thank You for offering this giveaway Carolyn and Hot Patterns!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the offer! I would LOVE to have the HP 1221 Plain & Simple Tailored T's. HotPatterns patterns fit me really well, often with no alterations. I feel casually stylish in her clothes, and I find that many of my TNT patterns are from there.
ReplyDeleteThe Plain & Simple Tailored Tees appeal to me because the side panels and Dior darts may mean I don't need a FBA or, if I do, will make it easier. And the 2 piece sleeves will make hefty biceps alterations, if necessary, easier.
Thanks again for making this giveaway offer!
What a great offer! I think I would want HP 1187 Classix Nouveau Camera-Ready Culottes. It's actually one I DONT have! I've been collecting and not sewing them. :-/
ReplyDeleteOne of the first garments that I sewed was a Hot Patterns dress. I still love it.
ReplyDeleteWow -- what a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would probably go for 1170 - Fast and Fabulous Blouse-Back T
Thanks for making these giveaways possible!
HP1171 Classix Nouveau, What's New Pussycat blouse. Why? Because I have searched for a pattern with front and back yokes for more than 20 years and finally, here it is! Thanks for the opportunity.

ReplyDeleteI really love the Fast & Fabulous La Strada T-Shirt.

ReplyDeleteOooo, I am torn! I have wanted the Weekender Boyfriend Jeans for a while now but I have been planning to make a hoodie for my grand daughter and the Daytona Hoodie would be perfect. Selfish sewing or a hoodie for the princess???????? :-)
ReplyDeleteI would like 1216, a T with a bit more!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a quick make too so would be perfect for me.
This is a hard decision! I like the Metropolitan Fontaine Cardigan Jacket as it is something different from current items in my wardrobe. I've been waiting for them to put out the fall capsule... I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThe Jetsetter poncho - because I don't have anything like that in my pattern stash.
ReplyDeleteThanks to you and HotPatterns for the opportunity to win! I love them all but I would like to make the pussybow shirt or the tummy taming trousers...or ok I love them all.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this opportunity! I love so many of the patterns, but the Diorella t-shirt will really fit my life style. Those neck pleats are darling, and I have a feeling they will help with fitting my uber-busty figure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway, thank you! The Weekender Swingy Sweatshirt and Sweater Dress would be my choice...it looks so snuggly for cool weather.
ReplyDeleteThe Athleisure Sunday Morning Sweatpants are what caught my eye. I'd love to make them.
ReplyDeleteHappy National Sewing Month!
ReplyDeleteI've heard many good things about the Primavera dress and it looks like there are many options included.
Thank you for hosting!
I'd totally chose the HP 1214 Fast & Fabulous Milano Dolman T's as I love that style. I wish Trudy made all of her designs available as PDFs.
ReplyDeleteI love their creative skirt styles. Otherwise so hard to find skirts beyond basic. So I'd choose Deco Vibe Swallowtail Skirt.
ReplyDeleteThe skinny bootcut pant pattern for sure. I used to wear jeans that looked like these in the 80's and it's my favourite cut from all the decades of changes I've lived (and sometimes suffered) through.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite skirt pattern is a free one from Hot Patterns. They have such cool designs! I love the HP1204 Madame Butterfly dress, but the HP1221 Plain and Simple Tailored T pattern would be more practical right now.
ReplyDeleteCote D Azur - I have so many knits - this is versatile enough to work through my stash
ReplyDeleteHiya Carolyn, thanks for posting this! I've sewn HotPAtterns dresses, would love to try the Riviera Cote d'Azur
ReplyDeleteLove the simple scooter jacket - could be embellished and made into a fun coat!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big HP fan - and I really want to try the new tailored tee or the even newer birthday blouse!

ReplyDeleteLove the birthday blouse! Even better because it is my birthday this weekend!!
ReplyDeleteJanice in Southeastern, WI
Weekender chameleon dress would be my pattern choice - chic, easy to sew and easy to wear. The butterfly wrap dress is a close second.
ReplyDeleteI would love the HP 1192 Metropolitan Chimera Cardigan-Jacket-Vest. It looks like it would be perfect with jeans.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the weekender utility pants. The front seam intrigues me - I don't think I've ever hand a pair of pants with this feature
ReplyDeleteI love to try the Fast & Fabulous Tummy-Taming Trousers,
ReplyDeleteI've had my eye on the Fast & Fabulous La Strada T-Shirt for a long time. I would love to win this one :)
ReplyDeleteI have had great success with their pants, but would love to try the Sakura Bomber jacket!
ReplyDeleteIt's been ages since I checked the Hot Patterns website, I don't know why, there is so much great stuff! I'm obsessed with finding out how the Metropolitan Jermyn Street Shirtdress works so that would be my pick.
ReplyDeleteOkay you convinced me to leave a post for a HP Pattern. If I won I would want the HP1172 Wong-Singh-Jones Sakura Bomber Jacket. This bomber jacket is a little different from most as I like the neckline on this one as well as inseam pockets and can use a variety of fabrics.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win a Hot Patterns pattern!! I would choose #1158 Fast and Fabulous tailored track pants.
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing all the great versions of the Plain and simple tailored tees!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn and thanks for hosting this giveaway. It would be wonderful to try Hot Patterns - I have no idea which one I'd choose as there are lots that look like something I would like in my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteFast and Fabulous Slim trousers or tanks would be my pick. Or maybe the pussy bow blouse, but I have a similar pattern already...
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn.Thank you for always inspiring me :). I would love to win the pussy bow blouse!

ReplyDeleteOh, the choices! I think I would choose the Deco Vibe Swallowtail Skirt. Thank you for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI love the shirt-tail T. I've made it nine times and I'm wearing it now! I'd love to try the plain and simple relaxed T.
ReplyDeleteOh what the heck, count me in! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Nat'l Sewing Month!
Thank You for the opportunity. I like most the 1198 or 1167.
ReplyDeleteThe sakura bomber jacket caught my eye. Awesome giveaway.

ReplyDeleteWould love to try the Hot Patterns, thanks for sharing the opportunity! The one I like best is 1204. Would be absolutely fabulous to win it!
ReplyDeleteA great opportunity to try an independent company!
ReplyDeleteI love the Wong Singh-Jones butterfly wrap dress. It looks so light and flowy and I live in dresses!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to choose a pattern - mainly because I already own nearly all of them. I'm a mad keen lover of Hot Patterns, in fact I just bought the new Birthday Blouse pattern this afternoon and can't wait to sew it up. However, I have had my eye on the Fast and Fabulous Tailored Trackpants for a while but haven't pulled the trigger for some reason. So, that would be the pattern I would choose if I were lucky enough to win. Thank you for your generous giveaway! <3
