Spring arrived today at 7:44 am...it is cold...34 degrees F and snowing! Seriously...it is snowing on the first day of spring...time to retire to my sewing area!!!
I won't tell you what the weather was like in California on 3/19 but it's supposed to rain this weekend so that should dampen our desires to enjoy the afternoon in the outdoors. It is much harder to stay in and sew when it's 75 degrees and brilliantly sunny outside. Enjoy the weekend.
You are no more than 100 miles east of me (or else you'd be in the ocean), so I'm relieved that the snow bypassed us. It's just as cold, but at least the sun is shining! Happy Spring. Soon the tree outside your window will be green again.
Just put my 13-yr old dd on a plane to Minnesota to visit her best friend. She's going from 80+ degree weather here in Texas to snowing in Minneapolis. She'll actually be thrilled since we never get snow! I know you're tired of it though ....
Maybe it is a bit of a consolation that it's also snowing on the other side of the big pond. In Austria we still have quite a lot of snow. And I really really really want spring to finally arrive. Really. So, you have my full understanding :)
Well, it is 34c here! Just when you thought summer was over and you are really sick of the heat, I am melting again. But not complaining as it is much better than snow.
It's snowing heavily here in my neck of the woods (9:17 am ET) but it's not sticking.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blue skies here way upstate! The bad news it is 13ยบ at 7:45 this AM! Yuk...
ReplyDeleteWhoa! That's crazy! It's cool but sunny here; I really needed the sun.

ReplyDeleteMy goodness! Chicago isn't that bad! It was 65 degrees at the beginning of the week. Now it's 32 degrees no snow in sight.
ReplyDeleteRemember how upset you were that I was moving from New Jersey??
ReplyDeleteThis is why *smile*
Okay, not really. It was for work. But I like that I can wear my spring clothes in spring.
Enjoy your sewing!
With weather like that I know you are going to hunker down in that sewing room - have a great time!
ReplyDeleteGeez! It only got up into the 40's today but at least the sun was shining. Hope it was a good sewing day though.
