But before I share them with you, I want to remind you of a few unique garments made with fabrics from Elliott Berman...
The Versace Inspired Dress...
Several cardigans from Burda 8869...
and these new members of my fabric family...
(left to right: a tie-dyed border print blue linen, a brown/blk/gray
ltwt. cotton sateen, a blk/white circle knit w/a stripe border)
Fabrics from EB don't linger long in my collection...probably because they are so distinctive and so wonderful to work with...in fact I only had 2 pieces left before these new pieces were added. I can guarantee that these won't last long either especially since I already have patterns with 2 of the 3 fabrics.
If you need more information on Elliott Berman, check out Meg's blog, "Shop the Garment District" where her post today highlights all of the goodies that can be found there!
Adrienne this is for you and as always, more later!
I LOVE Elliot Berman too. I've recently been thinking that I need to take a random day off of work (since it's closed on the weekends) so that I can visit EB again. I've only been once - at the PR day - and could have spent the entire day there. I bought some stunning fabrics.
ReplyDeleteYou picked up some great ones for summer.
OHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! I was hoping you would post them!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can NOT wait.
These look beautiful, in design and quality. Fabric shopping in NY is on my list... one day! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing what inspirations come from these lovely fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThat linen actually got a little gasp from me. Beautiful choices!
ReplyDeleteAnd I was truly trying to stay on a fabric diet this year. Looks like I'll have to slip in a fabric dessert some time in 2011.
ReplyDeleteThis brings back happy memories of my NY trip last year. I LOVE the fabrics you picked, especially that knit, divine!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics! I love the picture of you in your Versace inspired dress.
ReplyDeleteThose are simply gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you do with them
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous fabrics. I am looking forward to seeing more pictures of them, the border prints on the left and right ones looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that hat!!! ANd the EB fabrics!
ReplyDeleteHey C, thanks for the STGD plug! I'm thinking that piece you call tie-dye might actually be more like an ikat—?
ReplyDeleteWow! such pretty fabrics. I love the blue tie dye. I dont think I have ever been in this store. I definitely have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteOh so distinctive! I can't wait to see what you sew.
ReplyDeleteI already made an impulsive purchase after reading Erica's post yesterday....here we go again. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing!
Fantastic choices! I love all of them. Must stay away from New York.
ReplyDeleteDo you mind sharing the prices? When I visited EB I found it a little too expensive for my taste.
Those fabrics are gorgeous! I am really happy with my recent order from them. It was my first, but won't be my last!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I've ordered from Elliot Berman, but not been to the store. Next time I'm going in person.
