April's End of the Month Recap

Honestly, I don't know what happened to me this month...I was just unproductive. I guess my sewing machine and my sewing mojo needed a rest! Only two garments were finished this month...using 4 yards of fabric. I did however, make 6 bibs for The Little Prince...but really that is not very productive at all!

Of course, I was much better at bringing fabric into the house...29 more yards showed up...less than last month but I need to do a little better. Truth be told, I'm looking forward to May. Less social engagements, more time to sew...hopefully more garments made.

I'm keeping this short and sweet...cause there isn't much to say...except I need to sew more and shop less! *LOL*

That's my end of the month round-up...

It's ok, you can only be good for so long, I went out and bought a bunch this week too. :)

Unfortunately, life gets in the way of our sewing sometimes. Like Annie say-"tomorrow,tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow, you're always a day away"!

But if you only made two garments a month that's 24 outfits a year. Really thats pretty impressive. Besides the new grandbaby is a good excuse.

It's something in the air - my sewing mojo has been off this month to!

Sew more and stock less fabric... I think that's all of our problems.
It doesn't matter how much I put out... I will still have more fabric than projects.

I've come to accept that about me.

I think April was my most unproductive month ever. The see-sawing late-coming Spring has something to do with it on my end, I think. I don't have an adorable new baby to spend time with!

Well, you may not feel as though you had a productive "sewing April", but you were certainly successful in persuading me to purchase fabric from FabricMart.com. I just received my first ever purchase from them and I couldn't be happier. And since it was a purchase based upon your positive experiences, you can have credit for being productive in convincing a fellow fabric junky to buy more fabric.

Eh, May is a better month for sewing anyway. :)

If the person with the most fabric wins, I'm a top contender. There is somthing about having a lot of fabric that makes me feel secure. I guess I figure if times ever get really tuff I can still make a new outfit. I'm impressed that you got two outfits done in April!

I can honestly say that I'm in the same boat -- lots of fabric in (as in over 100 yards); little sewing done.

I used to think that having a lot of fabric tucked away was not great. It still is my guilty pleasure but I've noticed that when I do get a particular project in my head I have fun looking through my stash(es) and I end up putting two things together (ie. material/ buttons) that I would've generally not have put together and it makes for a more interesting outfit.

Just love your blog. I spring cleaned my whole sewing area and found some really nice summer pieces. You have motivated me to get going on them! and by the way two garments and 6 bibs is productive in my book!

April was catch-up month with a huge contract finished, and couldn't sew for me or for experimenting ....looking forward to doing that in the next week, as I just finished my contract today - Yippee!!!
