I've tagged everything under "The Summer of Wow Sewing" if you click on the link, I think you will get a more comprehensive view of my sewing and the spring/summer wardrobe I created this year. I may add another piece or two to this collection because it's still quite warm in September in these parts. However, I'm pivoting to fall sewing. I'm ready.
...as always more later!
You really nailed it this summer and I still love those wide legged pants. Hope they will become a new TNT for you (they are that great!).
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job with your summer sewing you definitely got me motivated. I purchased the shirt dress pattern and hope to complete it soon it looks nice and the fit is good I have high hopes so thanks keep up the good sewing
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous wardrobe. I am so in love with how you used the border print in the New Look dress. An inspiring post!
ReplyDeleteYour summer sewing definitely had the WOW factor. I always look forward to seeing your blog posts. And I agree with Paula: those wide-legged pants are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThese are all very nice & flattering on you. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI really love the piping on the neckline of the Marilyn dress. it really speaks to me lol
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a fun and productive summer!
My summer was not as eventful as yours! How many countries did you get too this summer?

Absolutely beautiful makes! You have inspired me to sew some dresses. I am a plus size gal with a bit of a tummy. I get discouraged easily because of my size. I was slim (I mean slim) until age 45 and then the weight gain happened. By sewing my own clothes I can make clothes my size but often sew only blouses, jackets, and pullover shirts. I am going to try a shirt dress thanks to being inspired by you! You know I will post as soon as I have a completed dress!๐❤️
ReplyDeleteJill if you have a bit of a tummy (I do too!) the New Look dress is fantastic. It fits in the bustline but has flare to cover your tummy and hips. It's a fantastic pattern and I highly recommend you trying it.
DeleteLovely makes!!! I don't know how I missed the Concord Tee dress-WOW! I love that and it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteYes I missed the red concord maxi dress too! It's my favourite though. You rock in red ๐๐๐
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a summer of WOW! You are a constant source of inspiration and motivation to this very slooow sewer!
ReplyDeleteWow! indeed. Looks like you had a lot of fun this summer.
ReplyDeleteJust sending you thanks for sharing your makes. Your blog is always inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI do love ALL of your makes, but your "only 7" comment made me giggle out loud! I think I finished two things this summer. So glad you have found your groove
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration Carolyn. It's not just that you sewed a lot, but that you followed through on your ideas. I actually didn't do too badly this summer especially since I made a wedding dress! I made a dress for myself, 3 new tops and a pair of pants.
ReplyDeleteNancy - the wedding dress is stunning! Saw the pics on IG and that's a huge thing...if that had been the only thing you sewed all summer I would have still given you huge props!
DeleteI think you definitely captured the wow factor for your summer sewing! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say that I am a Black, curvy woman who has been reading you for quite awhile, and after your most recent post, thought I should finally comment, and tell you how much I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteAll of your garments are gorgeous and the way you style them with accessories and your shoes just make them pop! Thanks for taking the time to show us all your beautiful wardrobe with your fabulous sewing skills.
ReplyDeleteI love all your makes. The red dress is my fave. You definitely had a productive summer.
ReplyDeleteI smiled at 'only' seven garments - I wish I was as productive as you! Those trousers look great!
