At first I was really excited to see all the lights in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa! My Goodness...Africa! Then I started to notice that there were an awful lot of local cities in New Jersey popping up! And I gotta tell you, several weeks ago when I asked for shout-outs no one from any local NJ cities shouted back at me!

- Burlington, NJ
- Cranford, NJ
- East Rutherford, NJ

- Essex Falls, NJ
- Glendora, NJ
- Layton, NJ
- Maplewood, NJ
- Mendham, NJ

ReplyDeleteI'm not from NJ, but I'm very intested in this sitemaster thing. Can you tell me more about it?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, love the jacket!
I'm "adopted" I think. My son goes to college at FDU in Madison. Always looking for new/great fabric stores in NJ for when we go to visit.
ReplyDeleteRecently discovered an amazing drapery fabric place in Pannsauken.
You are an inspiration to this Oregon gal. When my muse is not awake, your blog gets her up and moving. Thanks so much for your posts. You have the best sewing blog on the net!
ReplyDeleteA Texas gal...I don't usually mention that I have been prowling the blogs but you made me want to give you a big Texas Howdy. Ruthie
ReplyDeleteDoes it count if I am married to a Jersey boy? LOL Tinton Falls!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn: I am a New Jersey girl who visits your site at lease 3 times a week. I love the clothes you sew. Your clothes are stylish and elegant. I was in New York on Saturday with the pattern review group. Anyway you are an inspiration to me. My site is http://kassminscreations.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteLove to hear from you
Hello! Another Jersey girl checking in. I'm in Matawan NJ. Love your site and I've commented awhile back for advice on visiting the fashion district in NYC where you get your great fabrics. You were so kind in your response! I like to drop in now and then and see what you have been up to.

Hi:
ReplyDeleteI am in Irvington, NJ. Every now and again I come by and read your blog which I find very informative and inspirational.
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI live in Grenloch, NJ, about 30 minutes from Philly. Your blog is my favorite sewing blog. I'm so happy I found you!
all my best,
Kathy R
Hi, I'm in Camden. First time I've visited your blog. Been sewing for over 40 years and it's the first time I heard of directional sewing involving the grain. Mostly I just do alterations/refashioning - what my husband calls remanufacturing the clothes to my expectations. :)

Hey there, "fellow" Jersey girl. I was born in Jersey City, spent the first five years of life in Hoboken, both parents born and raised there. I now live at the shore, south of Long Beach Island,in Little Egg Harbor. That's the southernmost tip of Ocean County. I love to sew, learned at the age of 9 on my grandmother's old Kenmore..weighed a ton! Anyway, I love my state also..Jersey girl born, raised, married to a born/raised Jersey guy for 34yrs. We have no plans to move!

Hi there, just found this blog. I am a NJ girl wondering if you know where I can take beginner sewing classes.
ReplyDeleteHere is this NJ 50 year old guy, Freehold, looking to take beginner sewing classes also.

Hi there!
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon your blog and think it's great! I am a Mom of 2 girls, ages 2 & 3 and ever since they were born I've had tons of sewing project ideas running around in my head, but I have no idea how to sew on a machine. (I don't own one yet either). Do you know of any places in northern NJ that teach sewing to beginners? I'm looking for something that isn't too pricey, and something I don't have to commit to. I love your passion for sewing, and I think it is hobby I would love to pick up!
Thank you so much :-)
Julie from Paterson
I was wondering if you or anyone you know gives sewing lessons. I live in north jersey.
