And no I haven't been sewing! *LOL*
I can't remember the last time I was this sick! The Dr's chart said 3.5 years ago so I guess he would know best! The flu-like symptoms turned into bronchitis and I ended up being out of work for a week and a half!
I can't remember the last time I was out of work that long and vacation wasn't involved! But, I'm back! Not sewing but at least I finally feel like myself and just wanted to let everyone know that I'm okay!
I'm glad you are feeling better.Be careful and don't try to do too much too soon. You'll be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you got the "crud". I hadnt been that sick since March 2003! Thanks to Tamiflu I will live! Love you blog, you inspire me to sew, sew, sew!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. Bronchitis is nasty! Take care.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling some better. There are a lot of nasty bugs around this year and it looks like one bit you. Isn't it the worst when you're home sick ... and you're actually too sick to do anything fun? Rest up, feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better!! Did you watch LOST?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteGood to "hear" you again. Glad you're feeling better, but take care and don't take up too much too soon.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what happened to you. Take care and happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. This flu is hitting hard. The best two hospitals close to my dad was not taking any new emergency cases I guess because of the flu, so I had to allow my dad to be taken to the last good hospital in the Bronx. We still spent a total of 24hours in the emergency room before they were able to send him to is room. Tonight is my first night back to work after caring for him. I'm just glad he didn't catch the flu while he was in the hospital for 3 days. I guess I can thank my doctor for talking me into the flu shot. Once again, glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I hope those bugs don't make it down here. I have never been that sick. Look after yourself and don't stay up late at night sewing just to keep us happy. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're starting to feel better. Hope you have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou poor little sicko!! I glad you're feeling better now - I need my Carolyn sewing fix!
ReplyDeleteI missed you! I'm so glad you're finally feeling better. I'm with Shannon - I need my Carolyn sewing fix too.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better. I live in Los Angeles and we have had the same thing going on here. I've had bronchitis twice in the last 2-1/2 months. I am still coughing - a weird cough, too. I'm feeling better but the cough is taking forever to go away.
ReplyDeleteYou are my greatest inspiration when it comes to sewing. Don't concern yourself with all the fabric you purchase - we are collectors, just like those who collect stamps, coins, etc. We all know that you will find the perfect outfit to whip up with your fabric collection.
Good to hear that you are feeling better! I was beginning to wonder... I check your blog and several others as soon as I boot up my work computer. Feel better!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. We'll still be here when you get back to your projects. You're a great inspiration. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are back on the mend. There is something fierce going around. My DH has said that the people in his office are dropping like flies. And it is the same as you, long periods away from the office. Get better soon, and don't push yourself.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're feeling better and that flu bug is visiting everyone, had the same situation at work with people out for a week with flu symptoms and having to see a doctor b/c of respiratory problems.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what happened. I missed your wonderful posts. Glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteA while back you showed some patent leather trim. Where did you buy that please? I would love to use some on a black denim jacket I have planned.
ReplyDeleteOf course I have so many things planned, it will be a while before I get to it.
Happy that you are feeling better? Hope you got some well needed rest and some good reading done!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you are feeling better.....hope you were well enough to watch Lost :)
ReplyDeleteYes, there is nothing like feeling like yourself! Glad you are feeling better, be sure to take it easy for a while.
ReplyDeletehi! glad you're back
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better. Knew you must be sick after not hearing from you for so long. What a winter for sickness all around the country. To help perk you up...I'm heading to a rally here in Rhode Island for Barack tomorrow! Can't wait to go....but actually did think of all the "flu bugs" that might be lingering in the crowd...oh well. take the good with the bad.
ReplyDeleteAuntie j
So glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI knew something was wrong when your posting did not have that upbeat tone to it. This is a tough flu season and the vaccine does not offer much protection against the this year flu strain. Anyway, take it easy. Drinks lots of fluids and rest. If you can stay home a little longer do so. Take care and I am glad you are back.
ReplyDeleteWe missed you but getting better is much more important. Do what you need to ... we'll wait. ;-) I hope you are able to enjoy this weekend by at least feeling better.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I hope you're feeling better now! You were missed!
ReplyDeleteIsn't "not wanting to sew" a sign of serious disease? I think your medical records should reflect that. Take care of yourself, and ease back into life slowly. Here's my wish for a complete recovery *soon*...like...*today*...*now*! -Karla
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better. Really missed reading your posts!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn sorry to read that you have been so ill. Bronchitis will kick your butt. Just about everytime I get a cold I get bronchitis. Hate it!! Sounds like you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! That explains why you haven't answered my email. Gosh I hope you get 150% better.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you were sick for so long. This is a difficult influenza season. Very serious illness. I started out with food poisoning and a visit to the local hospital 3 weeks ago. I was at a small convention with coughing people so I know I was exposed and in my weakened condition I had influenza within 3 days. Went to Dr. and got Tamiflu (75ml) and started taking that, 2 days later sicker with a sinus infection and a cough that felt like my chest was being flayed open. Could not get in to see Dr. again but did get a prescription for an antibiotic. I don't know about bronchitus, I do know that SANDRA BETZINA is running a seminar at our local Babylock dealorship and I cannot attend. I am still trying to recover and I wouldn't make it through even 1/2 a day. I am so bummed out. It is a difficult flu for older folks, I had a flu shot because of my asthma (well controlled) and my doc said folks who did not have the shot were even worse. Hard to imagine.
