Vote!

Ah the title gotcha didn't it! *LOL* I am a little giddy 'cause I've been digging around in my fabric collection and you know what a euphoric experience that can be!

But here's the thing...I really do want you to vote...for a color combination! I am not going to tell you what its going to be...I really just want your opinion on what color combination you like best. So here's a chance for you lurkers to come out, stand up and be counted!

First combo:

Second combo:

Third combo:

And nope, I am not going to tell you what the fabrics are or their end use...I just want your opinion on the color selections...

Okay, get set, vote! I will give you the tally on Thursday. Then I will let you know what color combination I'm leaning towards and what I'm planning on making! Now isn't this fun! Don't forget to VOTE!!!!

  1. My first instinct is combo #3 (with the purple). It simply spoke to me, and I can see it working for you...

  2. My initial instinct was #1. I love the colors in the stripe. I do love #3 though. The plum is a gorgeous color and I like the print.

  3. #1, #3, #2. Strictly my personal preference, as I think all the combinations are very nice. I think #3 is the most immediately striking, but I still like #1 the best. Can't wait to see what you do with them.

  4. I like #1. The colors look soothing and fresh for Spring. That purple is screaming Autumn. Maybe I've been influenced by all of the fall shows I've been viewing.

  5. Well my first instinct was combo 1 and although this may be because I am more of a stripe person than a florals person I'll stick with that. They do all look lovely though, I bet the vote is split!

  6. Count my vote for combo #1 :)

  7. LOL, I can see I'm in the minority, but #2 is jumping right out at me. Then 3, then 1.
But honestly, they all work well.

  8. My eyes are directed to #2. But I love blue, so perhaps that influences me. But of course you made 3 good combinations.

    ReplyDelete
  9. #2, my favorite!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I really love 1, but 3 is a good match too

  11. From the Lurker as requested - I vote #1, I love the stripe.

    ReplyDelete
  12. My first choice would be #1 - I'm drawn to the stripes and fresh color. The second choice would be #3, because I can already see you wearing that.

  13. combo #3. But, if the print is going to be a lining, then my favorite is #2 and second is #3 :)

  14. Delurking here to vote for #1 . They're all beautiful, but as someone else said, #1 speaks SPRING,plus I love stripes :>)

  16. Hey girl,
    I vote for #2.

    Lisa

  17. #2, unless the print is going to be used for a lining. These beautiful colors deserve a starring role!

    #1 is my second choice.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Delurking as requested, #2 then #3, but it was close!

    ReplyDelete
  19. My first thought was #1 but the more I look at it the more I like #3.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Vote for combi 1!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I vote number 1!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Number 1 - it has spring all over it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like #1. It is more "spring-y" than the other richer colors.

    ReplyDelete
  24. another delurker -
2, 1 then 3 are my favorites (but I see you in 3)

  25. 2, 1, 3 in that order. I know whatever you choose will be gorgeous!

  26. 2,3,1 in that order.

  27. I vote for #1

  28. I'm voting for number 1. While they're all lovely, #1 just screams spring to me and boy, oh boy, am I ready for spring!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I vote for #1. Although conservative, I think it suits your coloring and is cheerful with the stripe.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 1st, because it's not as contrast-y, it's more a wear-anywhere-still-look-good type combination, and as I don't know what your project is ...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Combo No.3. (If You don't use this one in the end....well you could send it over to me.)

  32. Another lurker here. I like 2 the best, then 3, then 1. But I like them all (probably because I can imagine running my fingers over them, and I bet they feel good!)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I love stripes, but the print in #3 is calling to me. I vote for #3, then #1

    ReplyDelete
  34. 3. Super classy!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I prefer the first - it's so Spring-y!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Combo #1 - unusual and springy! 2 and 3 are more autumnal or wintry. Pretty, but we here in the now rainy and cold northeast need to think spring!

    ReplyDelete
  37. You have pulled me out :) I vote for combo #3. Although #2 came in for a close second. I love your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I vote for #3 it is lovely.

Your blog is such an inspiration.

I must get my act together.

  39. Number 1 for me, color combo looks like spring and I like stripes. Then #2 and finally #3.

    Though they all look nice.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Number Three. The plum is just gorgeous and the creme will set it off nicely.

    There, I've de-lurked ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Number three for me! It's the least obvious and isn't too matchy-matchy.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I vote for #2. Is that Pantone's blue for the season? The print is exciting enough to jazz up your wardrobe's other neutrals (yes, I'm an avid fan of your blog) yet subtle enough to co-exist with them peacefully. The blue seems to be the right tone to also work with your wardrobe without being jarring. The combo is vibrant and very appealing. It seems it will blend into your wardrobe easily.
Sorry #1 does nothing for me, but then it isn't my wardrobe. LOL.
    #3 is my second choice.

    Angela

  43. #2 please. It may be my monitor, but in 1 and 3, the accent color doesn't seem to exist in the silky. 2 seems to have the closest match.

  44. Hi Carolyn, quick! Is your email address listed somewhere on your blog? My boss just came to me and asked if I knew anyone who would like a bunch of trims. They belonged to her mother-in-law who is no longer able to sew. She bought trims by the yard (and I think she meant like 50 yards at a time!) and they are probably vintage. I will get a chance to see them tomorrow. I immediately thought of you and she said if I can get your address, we can ship them to you - NO CHARGE. Let me know...I hope you see this message since it looks like I am #56 on the comments today!

  45. I'm feeling Spring, so my vote goes for #1

    ReplyDelete
  46. I like #2 -- I think because I love that print so much! #1 was a close second.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I like #2 - blue and brown - yummy!. On my monitor the #1 don't match at all. And no #3 is a bit boring.

    ReplyDelete
  48. #1, then #3, then #2.....can't wait to see the plan

    ReplyDelete
  49. I vote for number one.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm unlurking just long enough to pick #1. Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I vote for combo no. 4 :-) ....the plum print from No. 3. and the light grayish solid from No. 1. Linda

    ReplyDelete
  52. I vote for Combo #3 - love the purple and gold fabric with the soft ivory fabric.

  53. Number 3 really jumps out at me

  54. I'm drawn to combo #3. But combo #2 is a close second.

  55. I say 2, 1, 3

  56. Another lurker voting for combo #2.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The first one!It's elegant!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Definitely #1 although I do love the purple combo (#3) almost as much.

    ReplyDelete
  59. OK, delurking here.

    Combo 2

  60. #3, #2 and then #1. But they're all great.

    ReplyDelete
  61. lurker checking in.....#2, #1 and #3. I love #2, subtle floral. very classy.

    Angie R.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I vote for # 3. I don't love blue, and while the first one is nice I don't find it very exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  63. #1 is my choice. #3 is lovely, but the colours don't grab me as much as #1.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I like #1 and then #3 in that order! While you are looking forward to spring and thinking of warmer clothes, here in New Zealand we are at the opposite end and will soon be in Autumn mode! Although we are having an Indian summer at the moment, thankfully! Can't wait to see what you are going to make.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Sorry, blonde moment - you will be thinking of cooler clothing not warmer! It is almost the end of the working day here, I am not with it!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Combo number 3 I like how the gold and beige (in the leaves/flowers) are reflected in the solid color. Combos 1 and 2 don't resonate with me in the same way, for some reason. I wish you luck with your project!

    ReplyDelete
  67. OK, I vote for the blue combo #2. However, I made a blouse from the turquoise stripe silk twill and LOVE that fabric. I'm not so enamored with the blouse I made, but the fabric is fabulous. Whatever you make, I'm sure it will be lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  68. First, I'd like to thank you for such a fabulous wedsite, I have been a lucker for a while.
    I vote for #3.
    Jay.

  69. 2,1,then 3. Though in the interest of full disclosure, DD just finished a dress out of print #3 so I'm kind of visually done with it. (She used the border for the midriff and piping.) They are all quite nice and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for your decision and what the outfit will be.
