So a few pictures of me wearing the dress instead of Lulu ~
Dress with RTW cardigan - how I will wear it
until the gray cardigan is made
All of the information regarding the construction of the dress is in this post.
I spent three of the five days I was off working on Vogue 8995. I started tagging the pictures I showed on Instagram with the hashtag epicsew (#epicsew) because it was a very involved sew. I finished it this morning so the posts regarding the pattern alterations (which took one full day) construction, and the reveal will be shared during the week.
Since I highlighted the new baby in my last post - this one has my first granddaughter in it. Thanks everyone for the very kind comments you've left on the grandbaby pictures and "the vault" pictures. I have just one more vault picture left to share later this week.
...as always more later!
I really like the detail on the bodice. Also the color is so spring-y and looks great with the yellow cardigan! Nice to see you in some color!
ReplyDeleteI love it with the yellow cardigan! I would've never thought to pair those 2 colors.
ReplyDeleteI love it with the yellow too! And fantastic shoes! :-) I'm loving all your vault pix, and who can resist pictures of cute little kids?!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very lovely with the yellow cardigan. I wonder how it's going to look with the grey one. Your granddaughter is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty springtime dress, and looks good on you. Your grandbabies are some of the cutest I ever saw.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cutie-pie photo of your grandaughter! And I LOVE that lilac with neon yellow. Never thought to pair that colour combo though I wear both. I don't know how I'll ever wear lilac without yellow again!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous! This colour is just perfect and a super match with the cardigan!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful child! And I love the seaming on your dress.
ReplyDeleteLove your dress, especially the topstitching. And your granddaughter is so cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I read your last post, I thought that you must be used to adorable grandchildren - and this post proved the point. If the baby was my grandchild, I'm afraid I would get nothing done except sitting and watching her. Love the dress - it's very flattering on you and the pics of all the grandchildren. They are all gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking dress, I do like the empire line. I love the floral cardigan with this. Your granddaughter is very cute, love the pink kicks.
ReplyDeleteWell these grandgirls are both gorgeous!!!!! Love this little one! So adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove the lilac dress and the neat cardigan, but the shoes are ultra awesome!!!!!
Oh my gosh, what a cutie. I love the lilac and yellow paired together. Pretty combo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little beauty! She reminds me of my little Riley! The dress is lovely! I too am sewing lavender stuff this month.
ReplyDeleteI really like the details in the bodice and the SHOES!
ReplyDeleteLove the design lines you added to this dress. Especially on the back - those angled lines are very slimming. It's amazing to me how much longer things take than I think they should. I had 4 days off - I sewed 4 belt loops and buttons on an all but finished skirt, made a jacket, cut out a matching dress, cut out a skirt that I haven't sewn up and cut and put together another dress but for zippers and hem. 4 days worth and only a jacket to show for it. ::sigh:: g
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color on you, so perfect for spring. great details. And your granddaughter is so cute, and looking very serious :) Is she learning that blog photography is hard work ? ! adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou look radiant! Those colors light up your face.
ReplyDeleteYour dress is gorgeous. I love the empire line and it really suits you. gorgeous grandchildren. The photos from the vault are fantastic
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely springy (season wise I mean!) dress and nice job on coordinating with the flowers. Although probably everyone is going to be looking at your cute granddaughter instead, serious competition you have there!
ReplyDelete...& you look gorgeous in lilac....forgive me for saying those shoes would not last 5 minutes on your feet if I had a chance to steal them away...they are so beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteYour 1st grandbaby is adorable too!!! This lilac dress is beautiful on you with or without the cardigan and those shoes are the cutest ever!!!!!
