First up - all the pieces made during the sewing vaca:
Here is a picture of me in the Vogue 8209 jacket and the TNT pants
A close-up of the jacket front....
The twinset worn with a TNT 4-gore skirt that's been in the wardrobe for a couple of years - actually its a skirt from my SWAP 2006 collection!
And one more shot of the dress (Butterick 5179) - that is growing on me! *LOL*
All in all it was several restful days off! I am sorry that I missed my friends in Chicago but I did sleep late, eat well, watch some of that expensive cable I pay for and spent days enjoying my hobby!
Carolyn, I love all the latest additions to your wardrobe. My favorite is the pants suit. That jacket has a great look to it for a simple design

I love the dress on you, but I agree with Maggie, the pants suit is stunning on you. The colours work really well for you.

Wow, you really have been busy! The pants suit is fabulous. I love pink and brown. In fact I have a top and pants planned in the same colors.
ReplyDeleteHave you made the blouse from that Vogue pattern? I looks interesting for some silk brocade I have.
ReplyDeleteWowser. That pant suit is out of this world!
ReplyDeleteAs usual everything looks fabulous! I REALLY love the red flower linen dress. It looks so vintage revived and glam!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks wonderful Carolyn! I LOVE that red dress!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that twinset on you!! It's really flattering. The jacket is lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteproductive sewing time indeed, for one who said her time wasn't planned.
ReplyDeleteYou're creating a great Spring season wardrobe. Love that brown/pink combo on you.
I LOVE THE PANTSUIT!!!... sorry for the yelling lol :) The dress is awesome too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good (and very productive) time! Great outfits.
ReplyDeleteWell this perfectly illustrates why TNT patterns are so great, how fantastic to practically have a wardrobe at the end of your sewing vacation!
ReplyDeleteDays enjoying your hobby....PRICELESS! Love the pantsuit.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love everything. I should have such productive vacations. You go girl!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a productive weekend you had. I like everything but the pantsuit rocks. Great job.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great vacation you had! I love the pants suit, but the twin set really gets me. I almost bought that fabric and now I'm regretting my self-control. It all looks great on you, and congrats from saving yourself from UFO-buildup.
ReplyDeleteThe twinset is my fav.. the print is too cute!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, I've been reading here for a v-e-r-y long time. All your clothes are attractive, but you should know that you are a knockout in your brown suit!
ReplyDeleteWow. That was a very productive vacation! I really like the brown suit. That's another pattern that I like better once I've seen a 'real' version so I'll have to go hunting I think. :)
ReplyDeleteWould you send me all of these outfits, please. Right now! They're just what I need. ;-) I especially love that pantsuit.
ReplyDeleteAs always you look great in a pantsuit. Luv it! I'm fond of that linen border print dress, too!

Nice work on all your outfits, Carolyn. I particularly like the twinset, lovely fabric. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! It looks like you've had a very productive sewing vacation. I love the dress.
ReplyDeleteLovely garments, Carolyn. I'm sorry you weren't able to make the trip. Hopefully, there will be other opportunities.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you missed shopping in Chicago. The pantsuit is fabulous. I love it! Love the cardi to the twinset and the red dress is fab. I'll be picking your brain in the next couple of days to help me remember what I had in mind while Kashi was cutting fabric for me :) g
ReplyDeleteYou know that twinset is amazing!!! I might have to copycat Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteLove the pantsuit. It looks great on you!

Gosh, did you say earlier this wasn't a very productve sewing vacay? You came out of it with some real gems.
ReplyDeleteI envy the gals who could pinpoint a favorite among your wardrobe additions, because I honestly can't. They all look wonderful and you rock 'em all!!! Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeletejo
Great new clothes, Carolyn! I love the dress, but really, I love them all. Now you got me all dreaming of a sewing vacay! Sigh...
ReplyDeleteYou are inspiring me to take a vacation and try and create a mini collection... lol. Luv... Luv the suit.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can help me. I'm working on a dress (New Look 6785) for my dd and the yoke is similar to your Butterick 5179. The problem I'm having, once I baste stitched the sleeves and attached the yoke, my dd is having problems raising her arms, and unsure how to correct it. I'm currently in the process of removing the yoke. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You for the lovely compliment on my skirt & Top, and so excited that I was finally able to use my serger.
Wow-wow-wow you surely have been productive! Love everything, but I must praise that dress (what a beautiful fabric) and the chocolate suit with the pink top. Beautiful!
