A couple of things:
**I like the jacket in the pictures...still not so sure about it in real life. Will need to wear it to see how that goes before I pass final judgement.
**The Simplicity shirt is sleeveless - more on that in my next post when I review the pattern.
**Love the versatility of the wardrobe
**Added a RTW pink cardigan over the dress in one of the pictures, will use this so that I can wear all the pieces to work this week.
**Yes, I will finally be wearing these pieces. I haven't worn any of them yet.
**I didn't make the white version of B3124. Just didn't feel like looking for the white knit. However, I will be making this top again.
I'm thrilled that this collection is finally completed. When my daughter showed up this afternoon to take pictures she couldn't believe that the twinset was made by me. She thought I had bought it. That was a fantastic compliment especially since this is the daughter that sews and knows the quality of my work. So look for a post on the white shirt...boy was that an adventure! *LOL* And my next piece after that will be a dress...y'all know how much I love a dress and I've got dress ideas running through my brain that need to be worked out!
Finally, a parting shot of "The Little Prince" - who will be 3 next month! Boy does time fly!
Congratulations to the New York Giants
2012 Superbowl Champions!

ReplyDeleteThe twinset IS fabulous - your daughter is right. My fav, of course, is the twinset with the skirt, since that's my usual "uniform." :-) I also really like the pants with the white blouse and cardi, and with the twinset. Very flattering shapes and colors for you.

ReplyDeleteI love all these pieces so much I can't pick a favorite. That gray wool has a lovely sheen and really does look like the sky! The shades of lavender are to die for. The jacket with the sleeve detail looks great and really shows off your design abilities. And the pants fit beautifully! I know you will get a lot of wear and enjoyment out of these gorgeous pieces. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection of clothes. They look wonderful on you too! Your house looks very serene. But the best pictures are of your little prince! OMG, what a cutie! Congrats! I can't wait to see your review of the white blouse, as I have that in my cue too!

ReplyDeleteYou look great! Even though I read your blog, I also thought you bought the twinset. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYou look GREAT!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your collection! All the pieces work so great together. Love your cardigan/twinset - they do look RTW in the photos (well, most of your pieces do, and I mean that as a compliment, obviously) and I think they really pull the whole collection together. So much accomplished and we are barely into February! Makes me feel like a sewing slacker...
ReplyDeleteWOWSA!! great ensemble! Love the jacket and I hope you can become more comfortable in it. You really look so beautiful, Carolyn and that joy is reflected in your face. The little boy is so precious!! GO GIANTS!!! I'm a perpetually heart broken Mets fan, so this Giant win was sorely needed.
ReplyDeleteI love this collection! I really liked the long, purple necklace, too. Great colors!
ReplyDeleteAll the pieces are beautiful and look so nice on you, but my favorite is the jacket that you're not sure of!!!

ReplyDeleteWow, Carolyn! Everything is stunning. What a perfectly coordinated wardrobe. The colours are beautiful and everything is so flattering!
ReplyDeleteI am really liking the wardrobe; the twin set is impressive and I still like the jacket.
ReplyDeleteWe watched the Super Bowl too. Because we are both Tennessee Titans fans we had no investment in the game so Charles rooted for the Patriots and I for the Giants. We won! It was a very good game with triumphs and failures for both sides. Five additional minutes and the outcome could have been different, it was that close. Oh, does Coach B ever smile?
You are always such an inspiration! I love this wardrobe and the twinset absolutely topped it off!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a beautiful capsule wardrobe!! I just love these soft pretty colours, they look amazing on you!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! The whole collection is gorgeous! My fave is the cardi over the white top with the pants, but you look sensational in every pic. I LOVE IT!!!
